IMPORTANT - DISMISSAL INFORMATION
Please exercise extra caution during dismissal time, as our pickup area is very active with children, staff, buses and other vehicles. Please drive slowly, remain alert and follow all traffic rules to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We know parking and traffic can be a challenge, so please don’t rush—safety is our top priority. Avoid distractions like cell phones and be patient as students and their families are safely guided to their cars. Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe!

Thank you for being such a vital part of our school community. Let’s finish the quarter strong and continue to support our students in their journey of success!
Sincerely,

Daylight Savings begins this Sunday, March 9! Here are a few suggestions to help your children (and you!) adjust!
- Gradually shift your child's bedtime earlier by 5 or 10 minutes a day leading up to the time change, so it's not such a shock to the system (you can also wake them up a little bit earlier each day to help ease that transition).
- Encourage your child to stay active during the day to burn energy, and spend time outside whenever possible! Being exposed to natural light during the day can help set your child's circadian rhythm.
- Help your child's internal clock adjust by dimming the lights and turning off all electronics at least 30-60 minutes before bedtime. Using electronic devices right before bed can reduce sleep time, sleep quality, and daytime alertness. (This is a great tip for adults, too!)
- Have a solid bedtime routine, and stick to it! When kids know what to expect at bedtime, it helps create a signal in their bodies that it's time to sleep. Taking a warm bath, reading a book, and listening to relaxing music before bedtime are all good ideas!

Park Students in the News!
Blizzard Bags
Since we have reached our 5th calamity day, we want to inform you about our Blizzard Bag Plan for Park Elementary which went home.
We are providing Blizzard Bags to your child in the event of inclement weather resulting in a school closure. This will enable your child to continue their learning at home. These bags will contain TWO DAYS WORTH of assignments and activities that align with their current curriculum. Your child's teacher will provide instructions, and we encourage you to engage with your child in completing these assignments to ensure continuity in their education. You will have 10 school days to complete each day's Blizzard Bag assignments. For example, if we have a snow day on March 1, the bag would be due on March 15th.
We appreciate your support in making learning a collaborative effort, even on snow days. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office.
Stay warm and safe!
