Fort Osage High School will deliver the Signs of Suicide (SOS) lesson through advisory classes on Tuesday, September 10th. Please read the attached letter for further information. SOS Parent Letter
Fort Support Week will take place September 9-13th in honor of National Suicide Prevention Week
Monday September 9th- Motivational Monday- Wear your favorite Motivational Shirt
Tuesday September 10th- Thinking of Others Tuesday- Wear your favorite Thinking Cap (ears must be visible)
Wednesday September 11th- Wear Green for Mental Health
Thursday September 12th- Throwback Thursday- Throwback to your favorite decade
Friday September 13th- Friendship Friday- Twin with a friend
- Senior Emails- Counselors will be sending emails to seniors and their parents in September. These emails will detail all requirements that are still needed for your student to graduate in May. We will be monitoring their progress closely throughout the year and communicating with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor.
The next ACT will take place October 26th, 2024. This ACT test will not be hosted at Fort Osage High School. The deadline to register is September 20th. If you need help registering, contact Mrs. Ginger at aginger@fortosage.net
The FAFSA application will be opening December1st. Seniors and their families can begin preparing now by learning your social security number, collecting 2023 tax documents and W2s, and creating an FSA ID for the student and one parent. More information about financial aid can be found here.
Scholarship Information - Refer to the College and Career Resources website for scholarship information.
A+ Information: A+ enrollment for freshmen students will start this month! Mrs. Ginger will speak to freshmen students about the A+ Program in their English class and give all students an enrollment form during the last week of September. Enrollment forms will also be mailed home and emailed. Signed enrollment forms are due by December 1st. For more information, refer to the College and Career Resources website under the “A+ Program” tab.
It's important for you to stay on track towards graduation and part of that is knowing what credits are required to graduate. Below is a list of those requirements. They are also found on the Counseling Center webpage. Look over them, be familiar with them and make sure you're taking the appropriate classes in order to graduate on time.
🟥⬜🟥Seniors, if you plan to graduate in December pick up an Early Grad application in the Counseling Center. The deadline to submit applications is October 1.🟥⬜🟥

- Missouri National Guard - 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month
