Weekly Words from Wildwood #10

Mr. Garrett Maxwell, Wildwood's new Dean of Students, is a product of our Yucaipa-Calimesa School District. He was a Wildwood Lil Hawk when he was a boy, and his son Oliver is currently a TK Lil Hawk in Mrs. Killian's TK class! 😊 Mrs. Maxwell works as a substitute teacher at Wildwood Elementary; their daughter McKenna will be following right behind her brother as a Hawk student - before we know it!

Mr. Maxwell has taught history at Park View Middle School and Yucaipa High School, served as Dean of Students at PVMS and as Assistant Principal at YHS, returning to teaching when the night commitments of YHS administration were interfering with his goals to be a present, dedicated father. 🆒✨ Upon hearing about the open Dean of Sts position at the elementary school that is so near and dear to his heart, Mr. Maxwell has chosen to re-enter administration, ready to give his heart and work to the Wildwood community.

Mr. Maxwell will be your go-to for any matters involving: discipline/behavior, attendance, safety, and standardized testing. Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Maxwell have worked together for a few years at Park View MS, and they are so excited to see how powerful and productive they will be as a dynamic duo for Hawk students, Hawk Families, and Hawk staff! 🤩👏💥
