It's A Great Day to Be A Bulldog! Bulldogs Don't Quit!
Principal's Note
May 12-16, 2025
Dear Marysville Elementary Families,
It's another exciting week at Marysville Elementary as we begin celebrating the end of an amazing school year.
On Tuesday, May 13th our Kindergarten-4th Grade students will participate in Celebrate America at the high school. This yearly tradition is fun, engaging, and hands-on!
- Grades K-2 will attend in the morning
- Grades 3-4 will attend in the afternoon
Also on Tuesday, May 13th, our 5th Grade students will venture over to Sycamore Spring outside Sabetha, KS. What a great adventure awaits for them!
Thursday, May 15th will be our Kindergarten/Senior Walk at the high school football field, beginning at approximately 8:30 AM.
- Kindergarten and Senior parents are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to join us on this new, special tradition!
Friday, May 16th marks our final Minute to Win It Assembly of the year! It's always a fun way to wrap up the quarter and celebrate students who demonstrate our 3 R's- Respectful, Responsible, and Ready!
Looking ahead:
Monday, May 19th at 7:00 PM will be our 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony in the MES Gym
- 6th grade students should arrive in their classrooms by 6:40 PM.
Tuesday, May 20th at 2:00 PM will be our Kindergarten Promotion in the MES Gym
- We are very excited to celebrate our Kindergarten students as they move on to 1st grade.

MES School Highlights! π·β
We started the week by celebrating our wonderful teachers! We surprised them with little treats throughout the week.
Our 3-6 Track Meet was a success! We have some great athletes and kids that worked so hard all day!
Dave Bruna visited our MES students to give them great tips on water safety-thank you Dave!
Friday-concluded Teacher Appreciation Week with volunteer parents who came in for recess so our teachers could have duty-free recess! We are so blessed with some amazing families!
I can NOT forget to mention Fun Friday-This was our last one and the kids enjoyed all the activities!

Parent HANDBOOK Policy
FOOD & DRINKS
Students may bring labeled water bottles, but they must contain only waterβotherwise, a clear bottle will be required. Classroom teachers will share snack guidelines, but all snacks must be healthy (no chips, candy, or sugary treats). Gum is not allowed unless approved by staff. Breakfast is served daily starting at 7:30 AM, and students have a 25-minute lunch period. School provides balanced meals daily (except early release days), or students may bring simple, nutritious lunches from homeβno food sharing or carbonated drinks. Meals and milk are charged to your childβs food service account; low balance notices will be sent home and by email. Free and reduced-price meals are available for those who qualifyβapplications are available at the school office or online at https://schoolmealsapp.ksde.org/Home/welcome/D0364. Meal prices: $3.10 for lunch (Kβ6) and $1.95 for breakfast.
