February was a great month! AARP began offering free tax service appointments to our community for the season. We were honored to have been a beneficiary of #LeapofKindnessDay, an international movement started right here by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Thanks to Polyset Company, the library will offer members use of a touchless water bottle refill station! Thank you to Raj Ghoshal, Vice President of Operations, Doug, our patient installation expert, and the rest of Polyset team for this generous donation!

We were visited by many great guests in February! Thank you to Parkview Family Dentistry of Halfmoon for joining us for National Dental Health Month, Kasie the Therapy Dog and Patty (her human), Baby Cafe, and The Friends of the Library for sponsoring some great activities over school break.

The Colonel Ellsworth Historical Room is open to visitors. Digitized material is also available online. The Room houses some of Mechanicville’s Historical Documents, including a photo collection of Veterans, back issues of The Express , Coach Weigle’s collection of Mechanicville Team photos, maps, newspapers and more.

The building and organization for the Historical collection is a constant ongoing project. When visiting, we ask that you sign in at the front circulation desk and leave your photo ID during your stay. You will have full access to our irreplaceable collection. Your ID can be retrieved on your way out. Thank you for your cooperation!
