Musicology🎵🥁🎸
Musicology is a new class this year. It is being offered for dual-credit for students by Dr. Peterson! Comments from students: "I love that the class is dual credit and in person. I get to listen to music that I would never normally listen to, which is interesting. There are many different versions of "Rock & Roll."
"I highly encourage others to take this class if given the opportunity."
"History of a rock and roll is one of my favorite classes I’ve taken in school. The material is super interesting and being able to learn about a variety of artists ranging from early 20th century today is a blast. Also listening to the artists while learning about them helps make the class more engaging."
Computer Applications
Juniors are taking a Computer Applications class taught by Mr. Fawcett. Recently, students completed an activity where they were to design an app that answered the following questions: problem to be solved, target audience, how to process the information, and inputs/outputs. Some project ideas were: The Scravenger App, Homeless & Hungry, Dog Reminder, and Save the World.
Invention & Innovation
High school students can take an elective class in the SmartLab called Invention & Innovation. They've been working on bridge-making and 3D object drawing lately.
