GoGuardian Teacher Overview
Happy Friday!🌻🍉 Congrats! You're in the home stretch for the weekend! We are so excited to announce that GoGuardian student rosters should be viewable now from your ClassLink Launchpad. Honestly, some of you have already discovered this amazing resource and are not wasting any time rolling it out in your classroom. We applaud you for jumping in! We will have a formal GoGuardian Teacher Training for the district on our first Staff Development Day, Oct.6, but please feel free to try this program out. If you don't want to wait until Oct. for training, use the following tips to get started:
- Your students have been rostered through ClassLink, so your Classrooms should be created
- You should be able to view your students by class period and title
- Check your PENDING tab from your Classrooms page and accept
- Start a Class Session and guide student learning
- Communicate with your students from your teacher computer
- Review past sessions and individual reports
- Learn to use advanced features such as Scenes and Off-task alerts

🍓 Ask Teachers that have used GoGuardian for Assistance 🍓
During in-service we had several teachers that seemed super happy to hear the news that we were adding GoGuardian Teacher. These teachers have graciously agreed to help, and they are excellent resources to reach out to for assistance. Shout out to the following teachers for their prior knowledge of GoGuardian in the classroom:
- Elementary: Melody Lloyd
- Jr. High: Holly Whitney
- High School: Josh Rogers & Alisha Bayiha
We need your feedback!
Are students finding ways around the GoGuardian and getting off-task? One problem already reported was that students are opening a new window and minimizing the window they were instructed to be on. This does not show up in the teacher screens view. With teacher commands, you can click on the student view window and close the new window. You can also lock the tab that you want them to work on. This will work until the student needs to open a new tab to work. In that case, you will have to unlock the tab. Also, you can view the session history, identify the unwanted site, and block it.
This is a new program for all of us, so your feedback is greatly appreciated!
