Creative Minds at Work: Grade 7 Students Craft 3-Dimensional Plants
Our Grade 7 students combined science and art in an exciting interdisciplinary project: creating stunning three-dimensional plants! Designed to deepen their understanding of plant organs and adaptations to various environments, this hands-on activity brought classroom learning to life in a creative and engaging way.
As they worked, students explored the intersection of biology and design, gaining a deeper appreciation for the diversity and adaptability of plants. The classroom was alive with energy as they shared ideas, collaborated on techniques, and brought their creations to life.
Moccasin Making
New Norway School was blessed by the opportunity to spend time with Knowledge Keeper Carolyn and Battle River School Division’s - Indigenous Support Worker Thomas Francis. Our students built moccasins, listened to stories, shared words/ideas/feelings and grew in their understanding of indigenous ways of knowing, being, creating and doing. Thank you Carolyn and Thomas. We are richer for our experiences with you.

Visiting New Norway School:
To ensure a safe environment for all, we kindly ask that all parents and guests come to the school office upon arrival during school hours. Please refrain from using side doors to enter classrooms or the gym unless it is during authorized after hours event.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our school community.
Yearly forms:
Please take a few minutes to complete your child's demographic forms on PowerSchool.
It is important that this information be kept up-to-date every year, especially if there is a change in medical status, parent/guardian/emergency contact information, and/or address.
Students who do not have their forms in by the end of Sept. will see a disruption in their computer access.
If you need assistance with using PowerSchool - including completing and submitting yearly consent and demographic forms online - please contact Miss Miller in the office.

I’d like to acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
