Important Reminders!
Procedures!
We have procedures in place to ensure everyone's safety. When visiting the office, you must have a state ID or driver's license along with an appointment. Visitors are always to report to door 1. We also have a drop off table in our main vestibule if there should be a need to drop something off for your child.
Students need a set plan as to how they go home. Please send a note to the office in the event that you are changing their dismissal.
Please remember to check your child's backpack daily. No matter how old they are, it is important you are checking what is being sent home each day. Assignments are posted in Canvas daily.
Please dress your child for the weather. We try to take students outside for recess daily.
This includes bringing their charged Chromebook each day. Students need a pair of headphones to keep at school. Please send headphones if you haven't already done so.
Brickie Fridays!
We love to show our Brickie Pride at Veterans School. Encourage your child to wear purple and gold on Fridays!

Communication
Each month you will receive a monthly newsletter and calendar. This is the school's way of communicating important events that are taking place at the school.
You will also receive notables from the school on your phone. A weekly notable goes out from the school every Wednesday at 5:00 pm. There may be other occasions the school will call with announcements.
You can also find the current information about school events on these locations:
Remind Text Messages!
The School City of Hobart uses Remind to communicate with families via text messages and/or phone calls.
What are some ways that we use Remind?
- District News- Weekly newsletter, emergency closings, and other important information
- Class Reminders from Teachers - Events, tests, homework, due dates
- Announcements and Celebrations
- One-on-One Help
If you have not been receiving our messages and would like to, please reach out to your student's teacher for their Remind class code, which you will then text to 81010. For example, if you wanted to join a class with the class code @math, you would text @math to 81010.
Football Camp!
Brickie Pride Kids Camp is taking place Monday, June 5th - Thursday, June 8th and the deadline to sign up is May 26th. $50 per camper; sibling discount is available! This is a co-ed camp, so we encourage all students to participate. It is a skills-based camp with competitive activities. It is a non-contact camp to introduce skills needed to participate in the sport and encourage physical activity in the summer. Use the link below to register.
