Science Fun at MBLC!
Science classes at MBLC have been buzzing with excitement, thanks to hands-on activities that bring learning to life. Students recently had the chance to examine real blood samples under the microscope, diving into the tiny details that make up human biology. Seeing red and white blood cells up close has sparked curiosity about the human body and how it functions.
Adding to the excitement is our class pet tarantula! This gentle giant has become an unexpected favorite, allowing students to learn about arachnids firsthand. Caring for and observing the tarantula has offered unique lessons in biology and ecology, as students see the natural behaviors of this fascinating creature. Science at MBLC continues to be engaging, immersive, and memorable—helping students build a deeper connection to the world around them.
owing industry with exciting career paths. From aerial photography to agriculture, construction, and even environmental conservation, drones are shaping the future job market in ways we couldn’t have imagined a decade ago.
My Wyatt introduced students to the fundamentals of drone technology, safety, and programming. Not only will students gain hands-on experience, but they’ll also learn about real-world applications that align with career opportunities in technology, engineering, and science.
Learning about drones now can give students a head start in understanding the technology of the future and open doors to fields that are in high demand. We’re thrilled to support students in exploring these pathways and can’t wait to see where this knowledge takes them!

Thinking about College?
Support Standardized Test Preparation – Opportunities listed above
Many colleges require standardized tests like the SAT or ACT. Help your student prepare by providing resources such as prep books, enrolling them in prep courses, or considering online study tools. Practice tests can help them become familiar with the test format and identify areas where they need improvement.
Guide Them in College Research and Selection – Uncertain ask us
Assist your child in researching colleges to find those that best fit their academic, social, and financial needs. Encourage them to visit campuses, attend college fairs, and speak with current students and alumni. Discuss factors like location, size, programs, and culture to help them make informed choices.
Help with the Application Process – See Mr. Rodriguez
The college application process can be daunting, with its essays, recommendations, and deadlines. Offer to help your child stay organized by creating a timeline for each application. Encourage them to start early, especially on their personal statements and essays, which are critical components of the application.
Discuss Financial Planning Early – FAFSA.gov is free
College can be a significant financial investment. Discuss your family's financial situation openly and explore all options, including scholarships, grants, work-study programs, and student loans. Help your child understand the costs associated with college and encourage them to apply for financial aid.
