What a Great Year
Dear MBLC Parents and Guardians,
As we begin a new year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Your encouragement, involvement, and dedication to your child’s success have been invaluable to our students and our school community.
Because of your support, we celebrated 19 graduates in December, and we are on track to see 25 or more students walk the stage at our upcoming February 25th graduation. This incredible achievement would not be possible without you—especially your commitment to ensuring students attend school each day. Your efforts make a difference, and we see the results in their success.
Thank you for believing in our mission at Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center. Together, we are making a lasting impact on our students' futures. We look forward to celebrating even more milestones with you in the months ahead!
With appreciation,
Dr. Hastings
Principal

MBLC – Where Success Happens!
Spreading Kindness Week at MBLC
MBLC celebrated Spreading Kindness Week with a series of fun-themed days and acts of generosity that brought our school community together. Students and staff showed their spirit with Pajama Day, Crazy Sock Day, Jersey Day, Hat Day, and a special Valentine’s Day celebration. Each day added excitement while reinforcing the importance of kindness and connection.
To make the week even more meaningful, MBLC staff shared Valentine’s Day surprises with students, ensuring everyone felt appreciated and valued. Through these small but powerful gestures, we reminded each other that kindness is at the heart of our school—every day of the year.

Internal Motivation is Important to Success - Success if Found at MBLC
At MBLC, small yet meaningful rewards are making a big impact. When students receive a canvas shoe keychain, their faces light up with smiles as they proudly show it off to their friends, basking in the feeling of accomplishment. The same excitement can be seen when their name is posted on the "Final Five Credits" board—a moment of pride that motivates them to push forward. And when they graduate, seeing their photo displayed on the wall of success brings a sense of fulfillment and lasting achievement. These moments not only celebrate their hard work but also inspire them to believe in their potential and the value of their journey.
