OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL T3 W4
TE KURA O TO MATOU WAHINE O RUATA
HELLO, KIA ORA, KIA ORĀNA, MALO E LELEI, TALOFA, NAMASTE, KUMUSTA...
Nai mai, haere mai, welcome to Week 4. What a wonderful week we had last week with our Kind Hearts outings, Mathex competition for our Year 5 and 6 children, a range of sporting activities, debating in the senior school and many other wonderful learning opportunities happening throughout the classrooms.
WHANAU LEADERS - Thank you for your support of our Whanau Disco last week - we raised $150 for St Vincent de Paul and $40 profit moving into our next activity.
A REMINDER
A reminder to please make arrangements to have your children picked up on time after school. We have some children who are waiting up to 45 minutes to be picked up. Most of the staff have training and meetings after school from 3.15-5pm so we are not in a position to supervise your children. Please make arrangements with after school programmes should you need to. Thank you for your understanding.
MATHEX
Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 6 team who trained and then did us proud at the recent Mathex competition.
Our Year 5 team included: Leiana, Andrick, Charlotte -Jane, Hunter
Our Year 6 team included: Milo, Cam, Eleanor, Michaela (Kellan unwell)
HEALTHY FOOD IN YOUR CHILD'S LUNCHBOX
During the day at school we encourage children to bring healthy food to school. We know that is not always easy so we have Weetbix and milk available in the morning thanks to our breakfast programme. We are now organising fruit for our children to eat at the Brain Food Break at 10am and for morning tea. Sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt with minimal amount of packet snacks help your child to stay focused during the day.
WATER ONLY SCHOOL
A reminder that your child needs to bring their own named water bottle to school everyday. We ask that children only bring water to school - no juice or fizzy drinks please. They are great for treats at home.
