Dear School Community,
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year at KRHS! We hope you are having a wonderful summer break filled with relaxation, adventure, and quality time with family and friends. As we step into this new academic year, we are thrilled to reunite with returning students and warmly welcome new families to our school community.
Our dedicated team of educators and staff are ready to provide a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive. We are committed to fostering a love of learning, encouraging curiosity, and nurturing the unique talents of each student.
In this Back-to-School edition, you'll find important information to prepare for the 2024-2025 school year. This newsletter will start the weekly communication from the high school, so each week moving forward you will receive a newsletter with key information to keep you updated. We encourage you to stay engaged and connected with us throughout the year by reading our newsletters, attending school events, and communicating with teachers and administration.

Please ensure you access the Genesis Parent Portal to sign off on all Back-to-School forms by August 9, 2024.
Genesis Parent Portal
The Genesis Parent Portal is open. Click GENESIS.
- Athletics registration is due by August 1, 2024.
- Your child’s schedule will be accessible in the Genesis Parent Portal on August 20, 2024. You will not be able to view schedules until all documents are signed off in Genesis.
- Bus Passes will be available in the Genesis Parent Portal on August 23, 2024.
- The Free and Reduced Meal Application is now available.
- The Fees and Fines option is a new feature this year in Genesis; all obligations must be cleared in order to participate in sports and activities. You can clear obligations through the Fees and Fines link in the parent portal.
Student and Parent Access to Schoology
Kingsway Regional School District uses Schoology as its Learning Management System (LMS) to support teaching and learning and to streamline student, parent, and faculty interactions in an all-in-one digital environment. Schoology serves as a convenient one-stop shop for students to access courses, assignments, teachers, grades, school counselor support, and more. Through Schoology, parents can view their student's courses, check grades, and communicate with teachers. We invite you to sign in and access your parent account to stay involved as partners in your child’s education.

The goal of summer assignments at KRSD is to continue to engage students in academic activities throughout the summer or to provide continued practice so students enter the next school year with confidence. These activities have been designed to be completed independently without the need for direct instruction to further demonstrate the importance of self-directed learning.
If a course is not listed, then a summer assignment is not required for that course.

You will find important information regarding your senior year in the SENIOR LETTER including parking, senior trip, important dates, etc. Please keep in mind that you need to be logged in to your KRSD account to access and complete the Google Forms included in the senior letter.

A friendly reminder that the deadline for Fall athletics registration is August 1, 2024. If you have already signed up and submitted your forms and payment, you can track the status of your forms through your parent Genesis portal. All students will be cleared in time for their mid-August tryout date. Thank you for your patience during this process.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already submitted your physical paperwork on the old forms, you do NOT need to fill them out again. Both forms will be accepted for the Fall 2024 season.
All student obligations/lunch fees must be paid and up-to-date along with the sports participation fee. Students that still owe cafeteria fees or obligations at the time of tryouts will not be permitted to participate. All obligation fees and lunch account balances can be viewed within your parent Genesis portal under Fees and Fines. They can be paid within the MSB module or in either main offices of the middle and high school.
As of July 1, the NJ Department of Education has updated their student athlete PPE (Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation) form. All new physicals will need to be submitted on the new form, which can be found here: https://www.krsd.org/Page/666.
If your physical says it is "submitted," this means we have received it, and it is working its way through the medical clearance process.
IMPORTANT: We have implemented a new payment processing system within Genesis, utilizing My School Bucks but with a different look. There will no longer be specific sport “stores” for you to pay under. Instead, there will be an invoice you can click to pay within the platform. Alongside MSB, we are still accepting checks or money orders for any fees/obligations. Checks or money orders can be dropped off at the HS North Main Office or in the dropbox outside of the North Entrance of the HS. The invoice will appear in your parent portal on Genesis 24-48 hours after registration.
ALL students must pay the participation fee in order to try out. Once rosters are finalized, we will begin the process of refunding those students who did not make a team. Payments made through MSB are refunded first--followed by paper checks.

PE Uniforms are now available for purchase!
Uniform Pickup and Purchase Dates:
- August 7: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- August 22: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: Middle School
Payment Methods: Cash, check, and charge are accepted.
Uniforms can also be purchased when school opens. Students will dress for Physical Education beginning on September 12, 2024.
