Lake Career and Technical Center
The Impact of Career and Technical Student Organizations at LCTC
Joining a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) provides LCTC students with an opportunity to develop and refine the skills they have acquired in their chosen occupational areas. As members of a CTSO, students take on leadership roles and participate in competitions, workshops, and community service. LCTC offers students opportunities to join the following organizations: SkillsUSA, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
No matter what Career and Technical Organization LCTC students join, their participation provides an excellent path for them to further develop their technical and leadership skills. They also have opportunities to travel, meet people from all over, and to learn more about opportunities within their chosen career path. It has been an amazing year for LCTC students who participate in CTSOs!
LCTC students are currently in CTSO Competition Season. 20 FBLA students have competed and secured their positions in the FBLA National Qualifier. Two Culinary Students, Madison Stone and Oakley Belk, have advanced through the first round of the FCCLA Regional Contest in the Baking and Pastry Category.
