Dear Woodland Families,
We have much to be thankful for this month, and Kayla and I would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of you.
To our teachers, thank you for your unwavering dedication, creativity, and passion for guiding and inspiring our students every day. Your work makes a lasting impact. You impress us every single day.
To our students, your hard work, curiosity, and determination to grow and learn are truly commendable. Keep striving for excellence! We believe in you!
To our parents, your support, encouragement, and partnership are invaluable in creating a strong and nurturing school community. We are truly grateful.
And now, after over a month of working on RESPECT in our school, I'm proud to announce the overall winner of our first ever CARES trophy. Congratulations to Ms. Guyott's second grade class on winning the Most Respectful Homeroom Award! Your dedication to kindness, teamwork, and treating others with care has truly set a shining example for your school community. Your commitment to creating a positive and welcoming environment is inspiring, and this recognition is well-deserved. Keep up the amazing workâyou are making a difference!

Turkey Trot: Monday! (Rain date Tuesday)
All Woodland students will participate in the annual Turkey Trot on Monday, November 25th (rain date, November 26th). Students in kindergarten through grade 2 will run around the track, and preschool will have morning (11:00) and afternoon (12:45) trots around the baseball diamond. This is an opportunity for students to fundraise for the PTO, show school spirit, and exhibit their best effort running. They may even get a fun surprise in the teacher race! Remember to dress warm as we will be outside for over an hour for this fun event! Parent volunteers are welcome to check in with the office to get a visitor's badge, and spectators will have a viewing area on the field. Sorry, families are not allowed on the playscapes or inside the fenced in areas.

Southwick Holiday Giving Tree
Our annual Southwick Holiday Giving Tree to help families in need in our community is underway! If you would like to help support families in need within our own STGRSD community you can go to the Sign-Up Genius link below and select whatever you would like to donate!
Whatever you can donate would be so very much appreciated! If you choose to participate, please label your items with the number listed in the sign-up so we can identify them. We ask that all UNWRAPPED donations be in to SRS no later than Monday, December 9 so that we may arrange to deliver them.
We send our heartfelt appreciation for your kindness and generosity, and our best wishes to you and your families for a joyful holiday season.
Warm Regards,

Substitutes Needed
Woodland School needs substitutes for the 24-25 school year. Being a substitute offers great flexibility, because you can choose the days you want to work! When teachers are absent, they leave the substitute a detailed lesson plan to follow. Interested? Have questions?
