Liberty Early Childhood Center
March 2018
Dear families,
Happy spring! There are signs of spring all around the ECC. We have lots of flowers blooming, trees budding and lots of talk about Kindergarten! Our little learners...and their teachers too...are so happy to be able get out on the playground more for outdoor recess. Thank you to all families who attended our Spring conferences. We hope you enjoyed hearing about all the learning that has taken place over the 2nd progress reporting period. Thank you also to those who helped provide a delicious meal for our staff during conference time. It was very appreciated! April and May will be filled with lots of fun learning and special events...including our upcoming ECC Trike-A-Thon. Please be watching for additional information coming in the weeks ahead about how you can support our students and school through this event!
Wishing you well,
Dr. Sarah Birk

NO-TAX-INCREASE BOND ISSUE ON APRIL 3, 2018
In January, the Liberty Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to place a $49 million no-tax-increase bond issue on the April 3, 2018, ballot. Funds generated would be designated to classroom space for our growing student population, safety and security upgrades at several of our campuses, and other district-wide improvements.
Included in the plan are safety and security upgrades to our Early Childhood Center. While we already consider our facility to be extremely safe, these upgrades would include construction near our entrance to improve the flow of visitors when entering our building.
For more information regarding the April 3, 2018, No-Tax-Increase Bond Issue, visit the LPS website (www.lps53/bondinformation) or click here.
