Ms. Missy works closely with our school social worker and counselor to ensure students receive the support they need and are prepared to be successful in the classroom. Our school’s Social Work program is designed to help students strengthen the important connections between school and home. Services include small group social skills sessions, support for coping skills with family changes and loss, providing support during times of student and family crises, addressing behavioral needs in and out of the classroom, facilitating 504 accommodations in the school, removing barriers to student learning, and much more! Walk-A-Thon!
Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, October 4, 2024! This is our primary fundraiser for the year for both Westwood and Zimmerman Elementary Schools. Funds raised have supported our libraries, author visits, field trips, student planners, folders, and fun experiences for all students.
All Westwood Elementary students will walk to the Zimmerman High School track, where we’ll meet Zimmerman Elementary students for some fun laps! We’ll also have the Zimmerman Fire Department, ZMHS students, and Zimmy and Shadow joining us.
Please return the collection envelope with all money to your child’s teacher by Monday, September 30th, to be eligible for prizes. Thank you for helping make this year’s PAC Walk-A-Thon a success!
