BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19TH
The next Board of Education Meeting will be Thursday, December 19th at 7:00 p.m. Board meetings will continue to be streamed live and can be accessed on the website prior to the start of the meeting at www.sbschools.org.
We welcome and invite anyone who would like to make a public comment at any of our Board of Education meetings to please attend the in-person meeting. Although not required, the Board requests that residents who are interested in speaking at a Board meeting register with the Board Secretary's office prior to the meeting by calling (732) 297-7800, extension 3110 or by emailing marcia.garitano@sbschools.org. Residents will be heard during the portion of the meeting designated for public comment.
At this meeting the Concert Choir will perform, followed by recognitions of our Music Department Honors. There will also be presentations of the School Safety Report for Reporting Period (January-June 2024) and HIB Self-Assessment Report for 2023-2024.
Please join us in thanking Barry Nathanson for all his years on the Board of Education and for all the heart and soul he has given to the South Brunswick School District. He has been on the Board of Education since 2002 and has provided a wealth of knowledge to the Board. He will truly be missed!
SOUTH BRUNSWICK HIGH SCHOOL 2024-2025 WINTER CONCERT SERIES

There is still one more SBHS Winter Concert tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. The students and staff are excited to share with the community all of the hard work they have been doing and hope you can attend.
SBHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT HOLDS TOYS OF JOY TOY DRIVE AT WINTER CONCERTS
This year, the South Brunswick High School Music Department will once again be collecting toys, gift cards, and monetary donations at every concert for the Friends of JJ - Toys of Joy Toy Drive. Over the years the Toys of Joy Toy Drive has brought joy to hundreds of children at local hospitals across the tri-state area including Sloan Kettering.
Please consider bringing a toy to donate at the concert! Pictured are the students collecting donations at one of our past holiday concerts.

SBSD INVENTION CONVENTION - SATURDAY, JANUARY 25TH, 2025
Please click here for information along with the registration link to participate in the SBSD STEM Invention Convention taking place on Saturday, January 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This event is open to all 4th and 5th graders. Every participating student must register before December 13th.
SAVE THE DATE FOR SOUTH BRUNSWICK READS NIGHT: READING IS A GIFT
We hope all district families will join us for our second annual SB Reads Night on Wednesday, February 12th at 6:30 at South Brunswick High School. In partnership with the South Brunswick Public Library, district librarians and teachers will host an evening of stories that prove reading is a gift.
Activities will include read alouds with mystery readers, a book drive (all pre-k to 12 books will be accepted), readings from local authors, an AI storytime, book-themed crafts, along with free cookies and cocoa. EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF SOUTH BRUNSWICK BEAM OF LIGHT
Looking for a way to convey a holiday greeting to a staff member of the South Brunswick School District?
Send a "Beam of Light" to honor a Teacher, Counselor, Nurse, Secretary, Paraprofessional, Custodian, Bus Driver, Administrator, Coach or School Volunteer. By making a $10.00 donation to the Education Foundation, your honoree will receive a beautiful Beam of Light certificate with your name and your brief personal message. "DO GOOD DECEMBER" AT SBHS
This year members of SBHS's Chick-Fil-A's Leaders Academy are collecting socks, gloves, hats and scarves for South Brunswick Social Services from December 6th until January 6th.
Collection boxes will be located at the main entrance of SBHS, Room 108, the Kimple Center and North Brunswick Chick-Fil-A. The students of the Leaders Academy thank you in advance for your support of this community service endeavor.
CAMBRIDGE COUGAR COUNCIL THANKS YOU FOR SUPPORTING THEIR CANDY DRIVE
Thank you to the Cambridge and South Brunswick community for supporting the Cougar Council's Candy Drive. Approximately 270 pounds of candy was donated during the drive and the Cougar Council put together 130 treat bags for service personnel at McGuire Airforce Base. Pictured are members of the Cougar Council who presented their treat bags to Lieutenant Colonel Kahler of the United States Airforce. Thank you for helping the Cougar Council honor those who protect our country!
