🎭 Calling all theatre-lovers! 🎭
Please join the RMS Drama Department on Tuesday, December 20th at 7:00pm to enjoy our first annual Night of Scenes! Our drama class has prepared five scenes of varying genres that showcase the acting and technical skills learned this semester. Prepare to be taken on a journey filled with laughter, love, laziness, group-project-inspired rage, and some good old-fashioned evil scheming.

☕ Coffee with our Principal Ms. Zilk ☕
The coffee with the principal was very informative last Tuesday. Our campus supervisors were present during the meeting. We discussed our student safety, the best way to promote events on social media, and more topics. We invite you to join us for the next Principal's Coffee in February; take advantage of this space to meet our principal and ask any questions you may have.
👓🐾 ONE SIGHT- GIVING THE GIFT OF SIGHT 👓🐾
🐾 FREE VISION EXAMINATION EVENT FOR OUR WILDCATS! 🐾
Last Monday, 12/5, many of our WIldcats visited One Sight installations in Olive Ave. for a free vision screening and to obtain their new glasses. One sight is a great program that has supported our students within VUSD for several years. Since 1988, OneSight has helped millions of people access vision care and the glasses they need to see clearly. And LensCrafters has been there every step of the way.

👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓 👓
1 in 4 students in the United States has an undiagnosed vision problem. Studies have shown that glasses help with reading comprehension, and boost learning by up to twice as much. They can also help kids stay in school, reducing dropout rates by 44% when students get the glasses they need. Since 1988, LensCrafters and OneSight have worked together to help students get the eye exams and glasses they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Field trip to Finance Park in SD
Students in our Academy Language and Literacy classes will have a trip to Finance Park in SD. This is the first time that RMS students will have this opportunity. Ms. Nancy Licona, our school counselor, presented information about that trip to ALL students. Thank you, Ms. Licona, for helping and supporting our Wildcats!

Support the PTA!
PTA connects families, schools, and communities by providing programs and services at your child’s school. PTA is the nation’s largest volunteer-led child-advocacy association working to drive improvements in the education, health, and well-being of all children and families. When you are a member of PTA, you are an advocate for your child and for all children, and you are able to vote at Association meetings held twice a year, receive benefits by being a PTA member, and most importantly, support Roosevelt Students. You can also make direct donations to support grade-level grants, which provide funds for 6th-grade Greek Day, 7th-grade Safari Park field trip, and 8th events as well as other projects and programs. Please help support our programs and students! You can join by visiting this site: https://jointotem.com/ca/oceanside/roosevelt-middle-pta
