Burns Park Garden
Burns Park School Garden Summer 2024 Help Needed:
The BP School Garden needs your help for the 2024 summer season! Please sign up to adopt the garden for a week or more this summer! Students and staff have been putting lots of love into our garden and we will continue until the end of the school year. We need and want to keep this energy going! Please consider signing up to take care of the garden this summer so our students have a welcoming return in the fall. Tasks will include pulling weeds, watering, harvesting, and enjoying! Click on the link below to sign up now!
Feeling nervous about caring for the garden for a week, or worried that you will weed something that you shouldn't? Don't worry, we have you covered! We will provide a welcome meeting at the beginning of the sign-up summer season to introduce you to the garden and show you how to help. We also provide a comprehensive guide for you to take a look at as well. We can't grow this garden for the Burns Park Penguins without your help. Please sign up and consider helping our garden grow. Thank you! - The Burns Park Garden Committee
Burns Park Ice Cream Social 2024
Dear Burns Park Families,
SAVE THE DATE! Your PTO is excited to host another Burns Park Ice Cream Social on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 5:30-8:30pm in Burns Park. There will be airbrush tattoos, carnival games, prizes, a DJ, cake walk, pizza sponsored by Pizza House and ice cream. It will be an event to remember and a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another great school year with family and friends!
Check your child’s backpack this week for a flyer with everything you need to know, including how to order your wristbands and pizza for the event. A copy of the flyer is also available at this link: Burns Park Ice Cream Social Flyer 2024
Please note that pizza sales can only be pre-ordered. We cannot accommodate same day pizza purchases this year. Online ordering can be done via the QR code on the flyer or you can return the paper slip and submit it to your child’s teacher or to the office.
Each wristband purchased entitles the wearer to one ice cream and unlimited games. Hurry to sign up; all online and paper ordering closes at midnight Friday, May 24th. Any orders needing to occur after May 24th must be done at the ticket tent the day of the event.
Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch will be provided with a coupon code for 2 free pizzas and up to 6 wristbands. If you are experiencing economic hardship but do not quality for free and reduced lunch, please email Ms. Bullock and she will provide you with the coupon code.
HELP US MAKE THE EVENT A SUCCESS! We cannot put on this event without help from our community. Please click on the following link to volunteer: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/ICSSIGNUP
Volunteer opportunities include working a game or station at the event. We ALSO really need volunteers to bring a cake(s) or treats to the event to fill up our cake walk. We need traditional cakes, as well as allergy-friendly items. Homemade and store-bought items are ALL welcome.
We look forward to seeing you and your family at this year’s Burns Park Ice Cream Social!
Sincerely,
BP PTO Ice Cream Social Committee
