Cedar Hill Football To Round Out Non-District Competition at Red Oak
The Cedar Hill High School Football Team (1-1) will round non-district competition at 7 p.m. Friday at Red Oak (0-2).
The Longhorns lost, 42-14, last Friday at Allen (2-0) after playing the Eagles close in the first half, 14-6.
Tamarion Crochett completed 16 of 27 passes for a season-high 175 yards and a touchdown. He went over the 200 yard mark by rushing for 27 yards in the game.
Dayshun Reese-Williams scored his third touchdown of the season and also caught four passes for 38 yards.
Keylon Davis caught a career-high seven receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown. Cedric Mills caught three passes for 18 yards and now has nine receptions for 91 yards on the season.

Road Non-Conference Games
Cedar Hill is now 2-1 in non-conference regular season road games under second-year head coach Nick Ward. The Longhorns defeated Arlington Martin last season and Midlothian on August 30.
Meet The Hawks
Cedar Hill will face Red Oak for the first time in recent history.
The 5A Hawks have traditionally been a strong program, but they're coming off a tough 50-14 loss to Arlington Seguin in their home opener.
Billy Middleton completed 15 of 26 passes for 152 yards, a touchdown and an interception, and rushed for 30 yards. Taz Williams Jr. caught eight passes for a team-high 88 yards.
Red Oak lost its season opener, 32-29, at Colleyville Heritage.
Last season, Red Oak went undefeated in the regular season and finished 12-1, losing to eventual 5A-II State Champion, Aledo, 59-35, in the third round of the playoffs.
Cedar Hill Volleyball To Host Mesquite Horn in 6A-11 Opener
The Cedar Hill High School Volleyball Team rounded out non-district competition with an 18-5 overall record. The Lady Longhorns will host Mesquite Horn (6-11) to open District 6A-11 Competition on Friday.
ALUMNI UPDATE
Denver outside hitter Jamia Johnson finished with 15 kills over two matches -- victories over Montana State and The Citadel, respectively. The Pioneers (3-2) will visit Air Force on Tuesday.

Forte Finishes Sixth at Lake Ridge Invitational
The Cedar Hill High School Boys Cross Country Team finished fifth at the Mansfield Lake Ridge Invitational last Saturday. Here's a photo gallery from the meet.
Messiyah Forte led the Longhorns, finishing sixth with a time of 17:40.11 Teammate Kingston Jackson placed 19th (18:33.65), and Elgrie Hurd was in the top 25 (25th) with a time of 18:59.62.
Zachary Carroll (19:44.39) and Leonardo Ortega (19:59.57) finished 36th and 40th, respectively.
On the girls side, Chloe Wallace (27:50.29) and Alexzandria Moore (28:06.83) placed 29th and 30th, respectively.
Cedar Hill Cross Country will compete at Mansfield Legacy on Friday morning.

The Cedar Hill High School Tennis Team will visit DeSoto in the Tennis edition of Battle Of Belt Line at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Cedar Hill ISD Football Alumni
- Tulsa wide receiver/returner Kamdyn Benjamin caught six passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in the Golden Hurricanes' 28-24 loss at Arkansas State last Saturday. It was his third 100+ yard touchdown game and his ninth career touchdown. Tulsa (1-1) will host Oklahoma State on Saturday.
- Illinois wide receiver Zakhari Franklin caught a team-high nine passes for 99 yards in a 23-17 win over Kansas. Illinois (2-0) will host Central Michigan on Saturday.
- Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter completed 16 of 29 passes for 256 yards in a 30-24 win at New Mexico State. The Flames (2-0) will host UTEP on Saturday.
- Sam Houston punter Jadon Cardell finished with six punts for 170 yards in a 45-14 loss at UCF. Teammate Matthew Aribisala added two tackles. The Bearkats (1-1) will host Hawaii on Saturday.
- Texas A&M-Commerce's Leon Young recorded four tackles and a sack in a 36-22 loss at UC Davis, and teammate Jaheim Lowe added a tackle. The Lions (0-2) will host Grambling State on Saturday.
- Stephen F. Austin running back Jaylen Jenkins had 12 carries for 44 yards in a 35-20 loss at North Texas. The Lumberjacks (1-1) will host McNeese State on Saturday.
