Homebase provides assistance for families who need assistance from prevention of being evicted from housing and after services.
NYC Housing Connect
NYC Housing Connect provides affordable housing lotteries to families. Each lottery has different income requirements, please use this link to explore the different options available. *Please note this process can vary depending on each lottery.

New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG)

Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC)
QSAC is a Non-profit that assists the families of children with Autism by providing services and supports.
Parent to Parent of NYS
Parent to Parent of NYS is an organization that provides supports to families of Children with Disabilities by linking them with other parents who have similar experiences. They also provide a variety of other supports for families.
My Circle of Girls NYC
My Circle of Girls of NYC is a social and support group for women ages 14-21 with developmental disabilities. They host monthly social events throughout the city.

Office For People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
This program is a way to ensure that you and your child can receive various support services and will continue to receive these supports after they exit our school program. *Please note we encourage all families to start this process as early as possible. If you have questions, concerns, or need assistance with the process please contact our Social Worker Sandy Levy.

What Happens After High School?
Pre-Employment Transition Services
Transition and College Access Center(TCAC)
TCAC is an all-inclusive transition center that provides resources for a variety of topics including pre-employment services, employment services, self-advocacy, and other supports for independent living.
Office of Travel Training
Travel Training is a valuable service that teaches students how to navigate public transportation and travel independently throughout their community. We recommend this service for individuals who are considering a path to employment. If you are interested in this please reach out to our Transition Linkage Coordinator Dan Harras to find out more information
Employment Services
Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (Access-VR)
ACCESS-VR provides a wide variety of individualized services for students to access opportunities to enhance their independence. Services include but are not limited to pre-employment skills, support employment, and vocational counseling.
Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)
SYEP is a program that creates paid employment opportunities for our students during the months of July and August. If you are interested in applying please let Dan Harras know by February 2025 as the spots are limited.
College Access Programs
AHRC Melissa Riggio Higher Education Program
This program is a pathway for students with disabilities to access a college experience in New York City. The program provides supports and guidance to help achieve student success within their home and community. *Please note the application period for the 2025 year is not available at this time. We will host an information session to those interested in the program mid-May 2025.
CUNY Adult Literacy Program
This program provides a way for our students to continue their learning during and after they exit our program. There are a variety of classes including Basic Education, High School Equivalency GED, and English as a Second Language. They are offered in every borough of NYC.
Day Habilitation Programs
This option allows our students to maintain a structured routine after graduating from our school. There are many different options available, depending on the student's strengths and areas of need. OPWDD eligibility is required to enter into a Day-Hab program. I will be working with your care manager to help find a program that is a best fit for your child. *Please note this can be a lengthy process so it is best to begin planning as early as possible.
Independent Living Skills
Sinergia
This is a transition focused program that helps people with disabilities build skills that foster independence and social connections. This is a hybrid program with both online and in-person activities. *Please note that this program does not require OPWDD eligibility. Families will be assigned a case manager to assist them throughout the program.
YAI- Independent Living Skills Program (ILSP)
This is another transition focused program where students can gain skills related to independent living and self-advocacy. *Please note this program does require OPWDD eligibility.
