Glacier Peak High School theatre presents Cinderella
Are you ready for a little magic in your life? Come see the musical Cinderella presented by theatre students at Glacier Peak High School (7401 144th Place SE in Snohomish).
A bona fide fairy tale, told with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of grace, originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957, starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella was the most widely viewed program in the history of television, drawing an astonishing 107 million viewers. Its recreation in 1965, starring Lesley Ann Warren, was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of “Dreams Come True,” and a second remake in 1997 set a new standard for representation and diversity in screen musicals, starring Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. This performance is rated PG.
Tickets for this amazing production are on sale now - adults are $15/each and students/senior citizens/military are $10/each. All tickets must be purchased online. Please select performance date/time and seat at the time of purchase.
Cinderella premiers Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. Other dates include Thursday, April 28; Fridays on April 22 and April 29; and Saturdays on April 16, April 23 and April 30. Showtimes are 7 p.m. with additional 2 p.m. matinees on Saturdays.

Emerson playground gets a facelift
Thank you community! Emerson Elementary recently received a generous donation from an anonymous donor, as well as the Snohomish Lions Club, to purchase new school playground equipment. Over spring break, a new slide, five new black metal picnic tables, and fresh playground wood chips were installed/spread. The school is currently awaiting delivery of a climbing tower which has a capacity for 45 students. On arrival, the tower will be installed on the north side of the new slide.
Emerson Elementary is thankful for the community members who were available on Saturday to help spread an enormous amount of wood chips to fill up their new black playground border. Members of the Snohomish Lions Club, Peri-Lyn Johnson's boot camp crew, Central-Emerson PTA, parents/guardians and Emerson Elementary staff volunteered their help.

- Listserv - If you would like to receive district and school newsletters, or if you have a high school student who wants to receive the school Daily Bulletin, please subscribe to our listserv subscription tool. For directions on how to subscribe or change your subscription preferences (for those already signed up), please click here.
- Facebook - Today, 10,000 Facebook fans receive regular district updates through our district's Facebook page - www.facebook.com/snohomishschooldistrict. This site is just one of many ways we communicate with our students, staff, families and community. Although we are aware of other Facebook pages, please note that this is the only verified Facebook page of the Snohomish School District and is where official information is posted.
- School Messenger - Our district uses the School Messenger automated system as a tool for communication with our parents, families and staff. School Messenger works with the district’s student-data system (Skyward/Family Access) to notify families and staff through phone and/or email of emergencies, critical school and district messages, school/district closures, inclement weather, attendance issues, underfunded student meal accounts and other events/activities. The overall goal of using this service is for parents and families to receive critical information about Snohomish schools - especially information that affects their children - in a timely manner. As long as we have accurate primary phone numbers and email addresses on record for our students in Skyward/Family Access, families should automatically receive these messages when they are sent out.
