Prayer
From The Principal
During this time of Advent, we are preparing for the coming of the Lord. As part of our preparation with the students, they were invited to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation last week. As we move closer to Christmas, various parish churches are holding Reconciliation services. I encourage you to take your children to these services.
On behalf of the school administration, teachers, and staff, I wish each and every one a Holy and Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Catholic Identity Survey:
Thanks to all who took the time to complete the Catholic Identity survey for this year. From preliminary overview of the results, our school is doing a great job with Catholic Identity in the area of Prayer and Worship.
NAEP Results
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is an essential measurement of student achievement in both public and private schools. It is the largest continuing and nationally representative assessment of what the nation's students know and can do.
All Souls' grades four and eight students participate in this assessment. I am attaching the Mathematics and Reading for 2015 in this newsletter. Nationally we see Catholic schools outperforming the public schools. With grade 4 Mathematics, the results have dropped across the nation, and this has been seen with the IOWA results from the Archdiocese.
School Board News
Last night at the school board meeting the school board reviewed and revised the Family Agreement. There will be changes to the Festival Categories and also to the Women’s Club categories. In January the board will publish the revised Family Agreement so that parents can review it before Re- Enrollment for the next school year.. At the time of Re-Enrollment you will be required to submit your re-enrollment fee of $305.00 per child. The re-enrollment process will take place March 1st for a two week period. Please ensure that you budget for the re-enrollment fee.
Save the Date: - Adult Night Out
Fun Time at Molloy's Bar - Last year the school board sponsored a fun gathering for the adults of our school community at Molloy's. The evening was a great success, and the school board plans to host its second annual event at Molloy's on Saturday, March 12th, 2016. Please mark it on your calendar and join us to have a great night. Plan for your babysitters now!!!!
Tardy Students
As a New Year's resolution, it would be wonderful to see all students at the school by 7.55am. School begins at 8am with pledge, prayer, and notices. Many students who come late miss out on these. Please ensure your child is at school by 7.55am. Thank you for your cooperation with this school rule.
Toy Drive
Thanks to everyone for the generous donations towards the South San Francisco Fire and Police Department Toy Drive. There was a wonderful response.
School Raffle
The school raffle is still continuing until the end of January. If you need to purchase more tickets to sell, contact the school office.
God Bless,

School Raffle
The annual school raffle has started! Per your school agreement, each family is required to sell $50.00 worth of raffle tickets. We are asking you to sell twelve tickets, but if you’d like to sell more please don’t hesitate to ask the office for more tickets.
Your child(ren) will receive a free dress pass for every five tickets sold. For example, if a family sells fifteen tickets, your child will receive three free dress passes. If you have more than one child at the school, each child will receive dress passes. All free dress passes will be distributed by mid-February.
The raffle starts today and ends on January 29, 2016. All money and tickets stubs are to be turned into the school office by that date. Free dress passes will be given out to those students that return their tickets and money by the deadline.
The drawing will be held on February 1, 2016 at the Principal’s Awards Ceremony!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
