Ceremonial Signing of the Diplomas
As part of the ceremonial signing of the first diplomas, Board President Ms. Jennifer Cancro and MHS Principal Dr. Deb Euker, signed the diplomas of Liya Zhang and Erika Sincere. The Board also thanked the seniors for serving as student board representatives.
Junior Board Representatives
A very special thank you to Eileen Chen and Peter Tinoco for representing Eagleville Elementary School as Junior Board Representatives for April 2024. Eileen led the meeting by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Peter delivered a speech thanking his teachers and principal at Eagleville for making school such a terrific place for him and his classmates.

Spirit of Methacton Award
Congratulations to our Spirit of Methacton Award Recipients!
This new award is presented each month to professional staff, support staff, a student, and a volunteer in each building. Spirit of Methacton Award recipients are individuals who consistently model the qualities of the 9 core values of the Methacton School District. These individuals enrich our school community with their knowledge, commitment and support.
April 2024’s awardees represent Eagleville Elementary School. They are:
- Allison Foltz – Grade 2 Teacher
- Jodi Kohar – Office Assistant
- Mason Zuroski – Grade 4 Student
- Muoy Jobson - Volunteer
Best Communities for Music Education
Mr. Tom Kelly, Zeswitz Representative, presented Methacton School District with the NAMM Foundation 2024 Best Communities for Music Education award. This is the eighth year in a row that Methacton has earned the designation. More than 8,000 school districts across the nation completed the extensive application process, however, only 975 were selected to receive the commendation. Members of the Methacton music department, led by department coordinator Ms. Sue Basalik, were also in attendance to accept the award.
Welcome New Administrators
The Board has approved the hiring of Vanessa Hasson as principal at Woodland Elementary School and Taylor Parker as Director of Athletics and Activities at Methacton High School.
Vanessa Hasson comes to MSD from Central Bucks School District where she currently serves as Interim Principal at Bridge Valley Elementary and previously served as an assistant principal at Groveland Elementary. Ms. Hasson holds a master of science in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University, earned her post-bachelor’s teaching certificate in Elementary Education from Drexel University, and has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Villanova University.
Taylor Parker currently serves as the Director of Athletics and School Involvement for Twin Valley School District and previously served as the assistant athletic director at Bensalem Township High School. Ms. Parker is also a licensed athletic trainer at NovaCare. She holds a master of science in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science in Athletic Training from Temple University.
Both administrators will join us at the end of June. We look forward to their work in supporting the students, staff, and community of the Methacton School District.
