Parental Controls for Lunch Accounts
Did you know that SchoolCafe has so much more to offer than adding funds for school lunch accounts? Parents can fund student lunch accounts, view menus, view student purchases, and even place restrictions on student lunch accounts for a-la-carte purchasing. A-la-carte items include ice cream, snacks, specialty drinks and teas or anything else which does not qualify as a full meal.
To add restrictions to the account, the parent or guardian would need to have created a SchoolCafe account. Once they login on the left-hand side under the dashboard they will see a menu item for purchase restrictions. If they click on purchase restrictions it will take them to a page which allows them to set restrictions for a-la-carte items only. They can restrict which day of the week purchases can be made, number of items per pay, or set a daily, weekly, or monthly maximum spend amount.
The SchoolCafe website can be found here.
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is celebrated each year and provides opportunities to discuss making healthy choices and staying drug free! One way that we will celebrate is by participating in themed dress weeks. We will kick off RRW by wearing red on October 25th. We will also have a theme for students and staff to engage in each day the following week to focus on making good and healthy choices.
A-C Safety and Security Newsletter
We all need to work together to keep our schools safe!
Safety is the #1 priority at Annville-Cleona School District (ACSD). As such, our District's Safety and Security team has developed a newsletter to increase awareness, offer tips and insights into emergency preparedness, and help build a safe and secure culture at ACSD.
Check out the fourth edition of the Annville-Cleona School District's Safety and Security Newsletter.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Mrs. Danielle Heisler, Assistant to the Superintendent/Safety and Security Coordinator, at 717-867-7600 or dheisler@acschools.org.

JA BizTown - We Need your help!
Parents of 6th Graders: Parent Volunteers will be needed for Junior Achievement BizTown in April in York. Each year our 6th grade students enjoy a day of entrepreneurship as they learned how to run their own businesses to support their town. We plan to provide this same experience for students this year and need your help! To make this day a success, we will need 22-30 parent volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please let Mrs. Slabach know via email at aslabach@acschools.org. Once we have additional information, we will be sure to provide it to those interested in being a part of the day!
Be an A-C Substitute!
We are looking for substitutes for all positions to join our team! If you are interested in becoming a substitute in the district, please check out flier below!
Student Spotlight
Mrs. Wilson's Fourth Grade Class finished the week with Flashlight Friday! They grabbed a flashlight, a good book, and read for 10 minutes!
Students in Mrs. McFeaters' Third Grade Class built an Array City to help represent and remember multiplication facts!
Congratulations to Mrs. Miller's Sixth Grade Homeroom! They were the top earning class for the PTO's recent fundraiser. As their prize, they chose an ice cream sundae party!
Students participating in AE TV met for the first time this week with Mrs. Rudy, the club's advisor. Together, they are working on creating live daily announcements for our school, as well as special news broadcasts for special events!
This week, we saw many students going out of their way to show kindness to others. We're grateful for the leadership and benevolence they showed for teachers and classmates!
