7:45 - All Freshmen enter at the gym for a clap-in & assembly
9:15 - Link group breakouts and station rotations

New to LHS 10th - 12th Grade Students: 12:30 - 1:30

12:30 - 1:30 - Meet at the main entrance for a tour of the building

Welcome 24-25: Tuesday Aug 13 - 7:45AM 9th Grade Students report to athletics entrance for freshman orientation ends at 2:45. 12:30 new to LHS 10th-12th grade students meet in the main entrance , ends at 1:30. Wednesday, Aug 14: A Day Blocks 1-4 Trojan time schedule. This week's trojan time advisory will be used to build culture and community in our groups as well as review what it means to be a green star school.Thursday August 15: B day, Blocks 5-8, Friday, August 16: A Day - Blocks 1-4

LHS Attendance, Why Attendance Matters. Attendance is crucial to students' success in school. Students who have over a 90% attendance rate: 1. Do better academically - receiving higher grades and earning more credits. 2. Feel more connected to their school community, foster stronger peer relationships, and have greater participation in extracurricular activities. 3. Enjoy improved mental health and wellbeing. We strive to have all our student achieve an attendance rate of 90% or higher. What does 90% attendance look like: one week - two or fewer missed classes. one month - two or fewer days missed. one quarter - fewer than five days missed. one school year - fewer than 17 days missed.

LHS Tardy Policy: The beginning of class is crucial for...making connections to previous learning. Setting the tone for the day. Building relationships. Showing respect to the teachers and peers. We will continue to positively reinforce this message, as well as reiterate expectations. When students accrue unexcused tardies, the following interventions will occur. Student is 10 minutes or less late: Teacher-led interventions may include: missing a graded activity at the beginning of class that cannot be made up. Losing classroom privileges such as school store, listening to music, or technology breaks. Needing to stay after class to makeup the time. Student is between 11 and 30 minutes late: School interventions include: Three or more of these tardies in a week leads to two lunch detentions. Phone calls home from counseling or administration once students have reached three of these tardies. Student is over 30 minutes late. School interventions: Marked as absent in the Infinite Campus with a note "AT" that stands for absence due to tardy. Lunch detentions. Meeting with student to determine room causes for tardiness and appropriate supports put in place if behavior continues.El principio de clase es importante para Establecer conexiones con lo aprendido anteriormente. Annual iPad Insurance Fees Posted

The LTP Student iPad Insurance window for the 2024-2025 school year opened August 1st and closes on September 15th. Parents who wish to join the insurance pool for this year will need to make at least a partial payment within this window.

This insurance fee was added for every eligible student K-12 on August 1st. Please note that any student with an unpaid balance for iPad insurance from the previous year will not be eligible to join the pool this year until they pay off the previous year’s balance.

2024-2025 LTP Student iPad Insurance: $25

The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch under the federal poverty income guidelines and homeless students as defined by McKinney-Vento.

iPad Refresh for 2024-25 School Year

Students will be getting new iPads this year! Please encourage them to backup data that they would like to keep such as iMovies, Notability notes, Explain Everything, etc.

Picture day is coming, Tuesday August 13 - Thursday August 15, 2024 at Longmont High School. Preorder today on mylifetouch.com using your student ID or Picture day ID: EVTM7QP7Z. Students are photographed on picture day orders will be sent home with your student after picture day.

This year one free breakfast & one free lunch per student, will be provided daily.

Qualifying families may receive discounted sports, clubs & material/class fees.
