Prepare now for Recess in Colder Temperatures
Extreme Cold / Snow
In order to help protect students from incurring cold-related illnesses or problems, school personnel will monitor the temperature and wind chill to modify and/or suspend outdoor activities. This guideline applies to PE, school sponsored activities, and recess.
Temperature and wind chill is below 20 degrees - outdoor activities will be canceled.
Students will be heading outside for recess once the temperature reaches 20 degrees or higher.
Please help your students prepare for winter weather recess by sending hats, gloves, and warm coats. All items should be labeled with your child's name.
January Character Trait- Cooperation
Snacks with the Social Worker
We kicked off our return to school with a strong emphasis on our Jaguar Expectations, reminding students of the importance of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. To celebrate our students who are consistently demonstrating these expectations, we held daily building-wide drawings, recognizing their efforts and positive choices. We are proud of our Jaguars and their commitment to making our school a great place to learn and grow!

ROCK the MAP Celebration and Parade!
We are so proud of our students for their hard work and progress on their mid-year assessments! To celebrate their growth, we hosted a Rock the MAP party filled with fun activities and excitement. In addition, we held a schoolwide growth parade to recognize and cheer on our Jaguars for their dedication and achievements. Keep up the great work, students—Incredible Happens H
We Need You on our Pauline Central PTO!
Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Pauline Express! It was a wonderful time for our families! We'd love to invite you to join the PTO. This organization supports our Pauline Schools in incredible ways. Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 4, 5:30 p.m. at Pauline Central.
January Lunch Menu
Important Update Regarding School Lunch at Pauline Central
We’re excited to announce a new lunch option for students starting on Friday, November 1. In addition to the main entree, Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches will be available every day (except Manager's Choice Days) as a second choice.
To ensure we have the correct amount of each entree, students will need to select their lunch choice in the morning and will not be able to change their minds once they choose.
Thank you for helping us make lunch a great experience for all students!
Community Information
Parents as Teachers openings in our area
Are you or someone you know currently expecting a baby or have a child that is newborn to age 3? If so, you might consider joining the Auburn-Washburn Parents as Teachers program. This program provides individual family visits with a trained family support specialist, giving parents resources and developmental activity ideas for keeping themselves and their children safe, healthy and ready to learn. It is a free service offered to any family with at least one child under the age of 3 years old living in the USD #437 district. Families have the option of meeting with their support specialist in the privacy of their own home or may choose to meet at another location within the community that is convenient for them.
We are currently taking applications for new families to enroll in the program, and both day and evening visit times are available. If you have questions or are interested in enrollment, please contact the program coordinator, Shawna Hall, via email at hallsha@usd437.net, by phone at 785-339-4762.
