Tiger Tales
Aspen Family Newsletter
Dear Aspen Families,
As we complete the first month of the school year, I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. It has been a wonderful start, filled with enthusiasm, learning, and growth.
Our students have quickly adapted to their new routines, and it's been a joy to see them engaged in their studies, building relationships, and participating in school activities. We’ve seen strong attendance, and teachers have shared positive feedback about the effort and commitment students are showing in the classroom.
We are also excited about some of the upcoming events and initiatives planned for this school year. From after-school clubs to family engagement opportunities, there will be many ways for you to connect with our school community and support your child's learning.
Please remember that communication is key to our success. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office. We are here to work together to ensure your child has a successful and rewarding year.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community. Together, we are creating a positive, enriching environment where every student can thrive.
Sincerely,
Liz Janusz, Aspen Principal
High Five Friday!!
Our LAHS Football Team came out this morning to greet our Aspen Tigers for their first High Five Friday! The team will be visiting the schools on the Fridays that they have home games! Go Toppers!
Tiger Birthdays
Celebrate your child's birthday by having their name on the Aspen Marquee and/or have Aspen the Tiger visit at school! Aspen will bring your child a small gift and have the students sing Happy Birthday to your child. A photo can also be emailed to the parent, by request.
Please fill out the form at least two weeks before the birthday and submit payment online after submitting the form.
Tiger Trot!
Aspen’s biggest fundraiser of the year is back! Tiger Trot is a PTO fundraiser on the morning of our half day for Homecoming. All students go outside and run/walk laps around the track with their class. Parents are welcome to join in the fun by volunteering or trotting with their child. Students do not have to have donations in order to participate.
Donations can be a set amount or can be based on how many laps your student can run around the track. 5 laps = 1 mile. The kids really put all their energy into the Tiger Trot last year!
If you are able to support by donating, please go to our 99Pledge website and make your donation today! Your child will be listed by first name, last initial and your teacher’s name.
Website: Aspen’s Tiger Trot Donation Website
Our Tiger Trot will be held on Friday September 27th. Please feel free to come and cheer your Tiger on or run/walk with them. You can also volunteer to help the PTO with the event on this website.
Parents at Tiger Trot
We would love to have parents come and cheer their tigers on during their scheduled time. Parents are welcome to just head to the track in the back of the playground, there is no need to come inside the building.
If anyone needs to come into the building at any point, they will need to follow our usual safety protocols by stopping at the office to have your ID scanned for a badge. We appreciate your help in keeping our school safe.
