Message From Principal Heard
Hello Trailblazers!
It has certainly been hot over here at the Ranch. I am grateful to our incredible staff for being flexible and responsive to the heat. The heat is projected to continue through Monday. If that happens, we will move our lunch recess into the MPR as we did the past two days.
We celebrate the end of our APEX fundraiser. I want to personally thank all of our Stone Ranch community members for your support throughout this program. Although the heat prevented us from running as planned, we made up for it with the most EPIC Apex remix ever!
The final totals aren't in yet but we have surpassed our fundraising goal! Thank you for all of your generous donations to school. We appreciate you!
Warmly,
Teri Heard
Your Very Proud Principal

No Rescue Policy - Coming October 1st
During the first few weeks of school, we understand that students are still getting into a routine. Sometimes they forget an item (snack, class assignment, musical instrument, etc) and, for now, you are allowed to bring it to campus for them. However, beginning October 1st, we will be enacting our No Rescue Policy. This means that starting October 1st, parents/guardians will not be allowed to bring items to campus. If your child forgets something, they will need to continue their day without that item. Our only exception to this rule would be essential medication or other items.
Please help prepare your children now so that they understand what to expect beginning October 1st.
Thank you
We Are Hiring!

Reflections Art Showcase—Program Chair Needed

A National PTA Program, the Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life. From the Yearbook Committee
Yearbooks can be purchased now for an early bird discount of $30 from now until Winter Break. Don't delay, as there is no other additional discount (unless you volunteer for Yearbook - where each staff member gets one free book!), and prices will go up in January to $35. Walk-ups during the last week of school will be available for $40 and on a first come first serve basis.
The Yearbook Staff is 100% volunteer run and would appreciate your help! If you're interested in donating some of your time to collect pictures and design collages capturing our school-year memories, please email us at StoneRanchYearbook@gmail.com and let us know your interest. Thank you in advance for your generosity with your time!
The kids beat the heat and still had an awesome time doing this year's first Apex DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) in lieu of our traditional fun run. If you were able to attend this event, please share your favorite memories for potential publication in the annual yearbook. This dropbox link will close one week from today (the 12th at midnight). Apex Dance Dance Revolution!
Caring Connections Resources
Our district’s Caring Connections Parent Education website has new and exciting courses being offered this Fall. Each term we have different parent education courses, therefore, feel free to periodically check the website at the beginning of each term for the new courses offered to parents, families, and our school community. Beginning next week, click HERE to view the PUSD CCC Parent Education Fall Courses
SRES Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Safety for our students is our number one priority at Stone Ranch. Please follow staff directions when entering and exiting the bus or staff parking loops. Parents, please pull ALL the way forward in the traffic circles. When you stop in the middle of the lane to let a child in the car, the line backs up into the street creating a safety hazard. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to keep the drop off and pick up process smooth and safe!
As a reminder, there is plenty of parking at the lot near the Boys and Girls club and it is a short and hassle free walk to campus.
Principal Heard's Art Corner
Calling all artists! I'm looking to fill my office wall with student art. If you like to draw, I'd love to display your artwork.
