A Message from the Principal
A chairde,
As the festive season approaches, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all members of our school community for making this term so successful. From the smiles in the classrooms to the wonderful performance of the carol service, it has been a term full of joy and achievement.
I wish you all a peaceful and happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2025!
Le Meas,
Ian Storey
Carol Service
The children were very excited to welcome family members, friends and members of the community to our carol service in St. Colman's Church last Thursday evening. There were great performances from each of the class groupings who sung beautifully, not to forget our readers who did an excellent job of retelling the Nativity. Many thanks also to their teachers for preparing them and in particular to our SNA, Carol Jordan, who put in great work getting us ready. It was a wonderful way to come together and reflect on the joys of the season!
Term Highlights
Below are some snapshots of highlights this term which included:
- Climate Action & Science Week - Many thanks to Ms. Whitty for organising these. A great week of experimenting and discussion was had!
- Rackard League Victory - Our girls created history winning our first Roinn A title in 32 years by defeating Castlebridge in a thriller!
- Champions Visit - We were delighted to welcome the victorious Baile Dubh Tíre & Duffry Rovers teams to the school with their respective cups.
- Christmas Shoe-box Appeal - Whilst Christmas can be a joyful time for many, it was great to see so many respond to the shoe-box appeal to help out those in need.
- Decorating our Tree - As is the tradition in the school, the children brought in decorations to dress our tree on the Friday of the Late Late Toy Show. The excitement in the building was palpable!
