Cheers to Another Year of Growth! For our special little school and all of our students.
3 more days until we reach the summer time zone.
From class hikes on our neighboring trails to learning and doing projects in our gardens and living classrooms. From winter concerts to Spring Dance Recitals. From our Back to School Bash to our Neon Nights Family Dance and Auction. From Pages and PJ's to Dia De Los Niños. And so much in between... We thank you for a wonderful 24/25. Thank you for being on the team to create a safe and supportive space for optimal human growth : )
Thank you to our one-of-a-kind Home and School Club for all of the fundraising and allowing us to continue with our programs and enrichment that are so near and dear to us. You have been essential to the growth of our SAGE program, our Art classes, and other programs and enrichment like dance and music. Our parents have built mini-libraries and new learning benches, helped on community garden days and so much more. THANK YOU!
Here's to our special SCG community, navigating the currents with our young SCG Dolphins so they may thrive, and to more learning together and supporting each other with kindness and smiles. This is what it's all about! Have a wonderful and happy summer everyone!

- SCG Team including Sue Robinson, Julianne Wolf, Mr. Albano and 6 Student Leaders made it to Sacramento to present at the state SEL & Wellness Summit on their Student Leadership Data Analysis of student surveys and building next steps to support kids. Our Student Leadership analyzed their peer survey data analysis and decided on action steps- to teach each class about neuroscience, how their brain works, and how to use coping skills when life gets hard. This work has won an award from CalHope and a Gold Level Thriving Schools Award from SEL4CA! These are both state/ national organizations and we are feeling very honored! We have also begun a partnership with Kelvin Education, the survey company that has been giving us upper grade student data, and whole school family data.

- For our Project Based Learning, we have accomplished so much this year, in the name of our SAGE program and caring for Planet Earth! And of course lending a helping hand to our ever-important pollinators with our Pollinator Data Tracking stations and our Native Bee Hotels installed by our upper grade classrooms.

This request does not apply to families and students who are simply transitioning to our middle school (NBMS) or going on to high school.
