YMCA FREE LA Kings Youth Ball Hockey Leagues and Clinics
YMCA, in partnership with the LA Kings hockey team, is offering free Youth Ball Hockey leagues and clinics at YMCAs throughout Los Angeles County. Our LA Kings Youth Ball Hockey leagues are available for youth ages 4-14, and a YMCA membership is not required to participate—this program is open to all youth in the community. Additionally, all gear, including safety equipment, hockey sticks, and balls, is provided at no extra cost. The only responsibility for parents or caregivers is to bring their child to the local YMCA for practices and games. Practices are typically one evening per week, with games and scrimmages held on Friday nights or Saturday mornings/afternoons.
If you are interested in sharing this free program, register online at www.ymcala.org/ballhockey or by visiting your local participating YMCA. This is a great opportunity for young people, particularly girls and students of color, to experience the sport of hockey as we cheer on our LA Kings this season. Over 500 students registered for our youth ball hockey leagues and clinics this past spring, and all received free tickets to an LA Kings hockey game at Crypto.com Arena. Season begins October 28.
