With the approaching winter weather expected Friday night into Saturday morning, please see the division closures and cancellations for the weekend below:

The forecast predicts temperatures will remain low over the weekend and expects precipitation to melt and refreeze early next week. At this time, no decision has been made regarding schedule changes for Monday, January 13. Parents should assume Monday, January 13, is a regular school day and operating on normal schedules unless otherwise announced. Any updates, including potential closures or schedule changes, will be communicated through official SPS channels.

If necessary, Suffolk Public Schools may implement a Virtual Learning Day to ensure our students continue engaging in meaningful activities and learning experiences despite a lack of computer or internet access. To prepare for the possibility of a Virtual Learning Day, students in grades 4-12 should plan to bring their Chromebooks home for the weekend. Students in grades K-5 will also be provided with an instructional plan by their schools to take home to ensure continuous learning.
