Outside Food Delivery
Please do not deliver outside food or send a food delivery to the campus for your child. All of our students receive free lunch. If the student doesn't want to eat the school lunch, they can bring their school lunch in a lunch box or lunch bag when they come to school.
We will start Welcome Wednesday on October 2nd. On Welcome Wednesday, you are able to bring your child lunch from outside since you will be eating lunch with them.

Hello Parents/Guardians,
Please ensure your child does not bring any perfume or deodorant aerosol cans. We have students who have allergies. Students are putting on these sprays in the classroom. These items could cause them issues with their allergies.
If you child brings lotion, please ensure it's in a travel size container. If they bring deodorant, make sure it's roll-on deodorant.
If an item is confiscated, it will be discarded. We will not be holding on to items for parent retrieval. Please ensure they don't bring the items to school.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact your child's grade level assistant principal.

WE WELCOME PARENT VOLUNTEERS
ATTENDANCE
To be promoted to the next grade, students must achieve a 90% attendance rate, which includes both excused and unexcused absences.
Please ensure your child attends school every day. Whenever possible, schedule appointments on non-school days. The instructional calendar is available at the bottom of this newsletter.
If your child needs to leave early, please arrange for this to occur after 12 p.m. and before 3:30 p.m.
We will send a letter home every two weeks if your child’s attendance falls below 90%. You will also receive an automated phone call and email notifying you the letter was given to your child.
If you have multiple children at Bammel Middle School, please contact the grade-level principal to verify each child's attendance rate.
Parents are responsible for ensuring their child attends school daily. Regular attendance is essential for academic success. Failure to maintain a 90% attendance rate will also lead to truancy being filed.
We don't want to do that so please ensure your child is here daily.

Student ID Badges
All students are expected to wear their ID to school every day.
The badges will allow for easy identification of students throughout the school. They help us keep our students and staff safe.
Students will need the ID badges to get on the bus, check out library books, get their school lunch, and attend afterschool activities & events.
If a student loses their ID badge, they will have to pay for a replacement.
- Replacement badges cost $3.00
- Replacement lanyards cost $2.00
If a student forgets their ID badge, they will have to purchase a temporary ID.
- Temporary IDs cost $1.00
If a student doesn't pay for the temporary ID badge, the fee will be added to the student's account.
Please encourage your child to keep up with their ID badge.
Please help us by requiring your child to bring their ID daily.

Car Riders
If your child is a car rider, please do not instruct them to meet you on the street. Please come through the car rider line. We ask that all parents stay in the right lane. Please pull all the way up. You will use the left lane to exit from the school in the event someone in the right lane is still waiting on a child.
Please help us ensure the safety of our students and staff by following the directives given by the staff on duty.

Hello Parents/Guardians,
Students can bring a clear water bottle to school. The water bottle must be empty. It can't have anything in it, including water. They can fill up their water bottle at the water fountain.
If a student brings a container with anything in it, they will be required to dump the liquid out.
If a student brings a container that is not clear, the container will be confiscated. You will have to come to the school before 4:30pm to pick up the container. It will not be given to the student.
Please help us by reviewing this expectation with your child.

Outside Food and Drinks
We provide all of our students with free breakfast and free lunch. If students have after school activities, we also provide them with an evening snack after dismissal.
Students are not allowed to bring in outside food and drinks. If students bring their lunch to school, it needs to be in their lunchbox container. They should not bring in big bags of snack or drinks for their lunch. The lunch items should be individual sizes.
Students are not allowed to eat or drink in the classroom or hallways. The only exception to drinking in the class is water.
If students bring in outside food or drinks, with the exception of the school lunch, the items will be confiscated and will not be returned.
