LEARN ABOUT THE 6-DAY ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE
Starting this year, we will be implementing a 6-day rotating schedule. Implementing this schedule allows every specialist (art, music and PE) to have an equal period of instruction daily with students. This is important to the quality of instruction for many reasons.
Learn more about the 6-day rotational schedule at our Back to School Night Bonanza on Thursday, September 19th. We encourage all families to attend so that you can gain a full understanding of what to expect and how to support your child with this transition.
THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS AT JOSEPH JINGOLI & SON, INC.
Slackwood Elementary School is extending its deepest gratitude to Joseph Jingoli & Son, Inc. for their generous donation of school supplies to our students. Their commitment to supporting our students and educators is truly inspiring and deeply appreciated.
The supplies they provided will be available to families at the Back to School Night Bonanza
(first come, first served). This donation of supplies will go a long way in ensuring that our students have the tools they need to succeed as they complete work at home and within the building. From pencils and notebooks to more specialized materials, this donation helps create a conducive learning environment where EVERY child can thrive.
At Slackwood Elementary, we believe in the power of community and the impact that the “Together We Can,” effort can have on our educational endeavors. The contribution made by Joseph Jingoli & Son, Inc. is a shining example of how corporate responsibility and community involvement can make a significant difference.
Thank you once again, Joseph Jingoli & Son, Inc. for your kindness and support. Your generosity not only aids in the day-to-day learning of our students but also reinforces the values of giving and teamwork that we strive to instill in them.
EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVISORY COUNCIL
I am excited to announce the launch of the Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC), an advisory group of community stakeholders interested in the education and welfare of children from preschool through grade three, as outlined in N.J.A.C. 6A:13A-1.2. This council is being convened by our school district to strengthen our commitment to early childhood education.
What is the ECAC?
The ECAC is an initiative aimed at supporting and enhancing early childhood education in our district. It will serve as a collaborative platform where educators, parents, and community members can come together to share insights and make recommendations that will shape the programs and services for our young learners.
The council will focus on various areas, including curriculum development, family engagement, and student support services. Our goal is to ensure that all children have the best possible start in their educational journey. The ECAC will be made up of a diverse group of individuals dedicated to improving early childhood education within our community.
How You Can Help
We are currently seeking community members ( school staff, parents, community members etc.) who are passionate about early childhood education to join the council. If you know anyone who may be interested, please encourage them to complete the interest form by scanning the QR CODE. For more information, feel free to contact me directly at epardo@ltps.org. Thank you for your continued dedication to providing excellent education for our students. I look forward to your support and collaboration in making the ECAC a success
