ATHLETICS
Student Athlete Profile
Jonah Mason 11th Grade
How long have you been playing football?
I first started playing football when I was about 8 years old, that was at the La-Mirada Pop Warner League. I was there for about 2 years, then I started playing again my sophomore year. I’ve generally played wide receiver and defensive back.
What is your favorite football memory so far?
Getting our first win of the season was great. It was our first game, and my first game with the team. After going through some tough times it was great to come out on top. The atmosphere during the game was also great to see and we all just came together as a team. We were all really pumped up.
What are your plans for after high school ?
After high school, I plan on going to college but I’m still undecided as a mayor; perhaps following up with my parents and going into teaching. I will probably go into teaching physical education.
Who is your favorite teacher?
I would say my favorite teacher has been Mr. Barr. I like the way he teaches and the jokes he cracks. But for sure above all he is a great teacher.
