Parents, a volunteer sign-up will be coming soon!
Attention 5th grade families!
We are excited to begin the process of welcoming incoming 6th graders to Chippewa! To provide families an overview of Chippewa, we will be hosting a Middle School Parent Information Night on Thursday, January 30, at Chippewa Middle School starting at 6:15 pm. This night provides an excellent opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and discover what makes Chippewa a special place for middle school students- where they can learn and grow academically and socially/emotionally. We will share the presentation and additional information about the sixth-grade curriculum on our website for families who cannot attend.
This information night is geared toward parents of incoming sixth graders; your student will have an opportunity to tour and learn more about Chippewa this spring. We hope you will join us. If you have any questions, please call us at 651-621-6400.
Still time to sign-up!
We still have space available in boys' and girls' basketball. Intramural basketball focuses on skill building, teamwork, and sportsmanship. All boys in grades 6-8 are encouraged to participate; no experience is necessary!! Activity buses are available after practice. Transportation will be provided to and from schools on game days—this bus will not bring students home; individual transportation home will need to be arranged by participants on competition evenings.
You can find out more and sign up on the MV Community Ed webpage. If you have any issues, please call Patrick at 651-621-6413.
Attention 8th grade families
The Mounds View High School dean team met with 8th-grade Chippewa students on Thursday, January 9th, to discuss the course registration process. Here is the presentation that 8th graders viewed on 1/9/25. This presentation describes the registration process and contains links to important information that will be helpful as you and your student begin planning for the 25-26 school year.
Please note that MVHS is transitioning from the 24-25 school year to the 25-26 school year, so some documents are still being updated. However, most of the information will remain the same. Please take some time from now until the week of January 27th to discuss course options with your student. Students will register for their high school courses during the week of January 27th.
Please note that activity buses do not run on Fridays.
