Mary Hogan Family Newsletter
Update from Principal Jen Kravitz
November 8, 2024
Dear Mary Hogan Families,
We had such a fun week this past week - and had the power on all week, which was a simple but delightful thing! One of the highlights of my week was meeting the newest named plow in the VT Agency of Transportation fleet - Witch Hawk. Our kindergarteners named Witch Hawk as part of the Agency's Name a Plow program. They collaborated and agreed on the submission. The best part was meeting Witch Hawk and some students got to get inside the truck and beep the horn. The extra bonus is that Mary Hogan parent Mr. Conway will be driving Witch Hawk this winter! Keep your eyes out when the snow flies for our Mary Hogan named plow!
Another highlight was to be able to go with Liza Raymond up to UVM to receive her Outstanding Teacher of the Year award! She was celebrated with teachers across Vermont by UVM, the Agency of Education, Vermont NEA, and many colleagues. Congratulations, Liza!
💙, Jen

Photo of the Week
All of 3rd grade gathered on Election Day to learn about the democratic process and ask questions. It was epic and they were SO interested in how the democracy works. What inquirers they were!
