Staring at a picture of Col. Canfield Boone, my father-in-law, and a man I only had the pleasure of meeting once; I instantly know what I want to share with you this week because it's what people have shared with me about him and I hope his impact continues.

When we show up to school every day, let's make sure we are showing a sense of duty - to each other, to our students, and to ourselves. We are here to serve our students, our colleagues, and our community.

We must show a sense of pride in everything that we do in our classrooms, in the hallways, in offices, and on the playing fields. Let's make sure that the quality of our work demonstrates something we are proud of.

Finally, NEVER forget your sense of purpose.... your WHY! Stay grounded in your purpose to help you stay focused on what you show up for each and every day.

• Lauren Davis for all of her support in the main office and in student services. She is currently covering the attendance clerk role while Stasi is on maternity leave, and she is always willing to do whatever is needed to help support our students.
• Sarah Bunch for all of her work in student services. She remains calm and patient in a sometimes chaotic environment and is doing a great job of holding students accountable for reporting to class on time.
• Our sheltered teachers who work to constantly create curriculum that is accessible to our EL students and research ways to differentiate to support all of our students.
