Whole Body Listening Resource
Check out The Whole Body Listening Poster, which is a valuable tool for both parents and school staff, promoting a deeper understanding of listening as a personalized process.
For parents, using the poster together with their child provides insights into how their child’s unique body and brain work together during listening and learning. It offers strategies to support their child's self-regulation and advocacy, encouraging open conversations about needs like movement, quiet spaces, or sensory tools. This empowers parents to better support their child at home and in other environments.
In schools, the poster can serve as a guide for fostering inclusive classrooms. Teachers can use it to help students explore different ways they regulate their bodies for listening and learning, breaking away from rigid expectations. By broadening our understanding of diverse listening behaviors and teaching them to staff and students, the poster helps create an environment where all children can feel understood and empowered to thrive. Here's a preview of the poster. If you'd like to review the complete resource, click here: [Link to Comprehensive Resource with Implementation Guide]
