Important Information
IMPORTANT NOTICE-
Students grade 3-5 will be taking RLA Interim Assessments beginning January 21, 2025, with their homeroom class.
To ensure a smooth testing experience, it is essential that each student brings both their Chromebook and charger to school on Friday, January 17th for collection , charging and safe storage in their testing location. This will help ensure that all devices are fully charged and ready for use during the interim testing. We expect to follow this same procedure future Interims (Math and Sci) and in April for STAAR Assessments.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this process, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Campus Testing Coordinator, Katrina Brown, at katrinanwilliamsbrown@katyisd.org.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping our students succeed.
Free Breakfast at PME
Please remember to encourage your children to stop by the cafeteria in the morning for breakfast. We currently only have 35% of our children participating in our free program. It is a great way for them to start off their days!
ID Badges
One of the district requirements is for our Katy ISD students to wear their ID badges each day to school. This is also a supportive safety measure required for our students to badge on and off district transportation. The complete Student ID Bundle includes: lanyard, RFID badge and a plastic badge sleeve.
When students lose or damage any portion of their badge set, they are required to gain a replacement from the library immediately. To date, the district has used the Pay-N-Go system through an automatic email sent to parents to gain payment. We appreciate parents/guardians who have made payment.
Please visit Pay-N-Go to clear any replacement costs.
Costs are as follows:
Lanyard - $1
Plastic Sleeve - $1
RFID card only - $1
Student ID Bundle - $3
Nominations for Dolphin of the Week
We are looking for more nominations from our PME families! This could be your child's teacher, a paraprofessional, front office staff, custodians, cafeteria workers, crossing guard, etc. It can be anyone you feel has gone above and beyond in making an impact on our Dolphin Students.
To make your nomination, click HERE or you can click the dolphin on the right.

This school year, a new SMART Tag bus rider ID system will be rolled out across Katy ISD school buses to help monitor the ridership of eligible bus riders. The system will enable parents, bus drivers, and school administrators, to review in real time, when and where a student is picked up or dropped off by a school bus. Student identification (ID) cards for eligible riders will include the SMART Tag ID information. Buses will be equipped with a tablet that will read each student’s ID every time they enter and exit their bus. Parents and guardians will also have access to the SMART Tag Parent Web Portal — a cloud-based platform that will enable them to monitor their student’s ridership and bus route. Parents and guardians of eligible bus riders will receive additional information about the Smart Tag ID system via the email address they have on file with the district. The Smart Tag ID system replaces Katy ISD’s Edulog Lite App.
1:1 Device Insurance
You may now request insurance for your student's device. You have 30 days from enrollment to pay via Pay N Go once you have indicated that you want insurance. The charge will show up 24 hours after the change has been made. If you wish to insure it, please go to www.changemyrequest@katyisd.org.
