Currently, the GCA PTSO has only 4 out of 12 Region Lead positions filled.

WHHAAATT???

Yep, that's right! Regions 1, 3, 6, and 11 have new Parent Leaders who will be doing their best to locate places in your region to have some Meet and Greet days.

HOWEVER, they need your help! Locating places to have social events can be a challenge for just one person in a multi-county area. So, we would like for parents to send in great places they would like to have social events monthly, weekly, semimonthly, or whenever floats your boat!

When you have an event idea, please let us know!

ALSO...if YOU would like to be a Region Lead or Co-Lead, let us know! We have MANY positions open!

We also need parents who are willing to Lead their Region for our school social events. There are 12 regions across the state. Which one are YOU in? This year, we would like to see as many parents as possible POINTING THE WAY to a social event in THEIR AREA! Yay!

We are looking for volunteers to fill our committees for the 2019-2020 school year. The volunteer list begins anew every year. We would love to have your help in enriching our GCA communities across the state and helping our teachers throughout the year! If you are interested, please fill out this survey and we will be in touch with you.

She won the drawing for attending our September General Membership Meeting. Last month's drawing was for a $10 Amazon gift card. Our drawing prize changes from month to month, so come to our meetings and see what you might win!

Becoming a GCA PTSO member is easy! Select the Membership icon. For only $5 per school term you will receive access to special programs, have voting rights, and so much more. For GCA PTSO founding members, check your email for renewal instructions. GCA PTSO Members meet 4 times per year to provide progress reports, vote on new initiatives, and provide activity reports. Please join us! Also, all members that are present at each meeting will have a chance to get their name entered into a drawing for either some GCA spirit gear or an Amazon gift card.

All meetings are accessed via the PTSO Room icon on the GCA PTSO webpage. If you are unable to attend, the archive of the meeting will be placed on the Archive page of the GCA PTSO website the next business day.

The Coach Café is experienced learning coaches hosting sessions to help other coaches. Questions can be asked in the main room or breakout rooms for private issues. Reminders will be posted on the GCA PTSO Regional Facebook pages and the Parent Lead Calendar meetings are currently being scheduled.

The Georgia Cyber Academy PTSO is a non-profit organization which is organized and operated for the charitable and educational purpose of assisting Georgia Cyber Academy in providing the best education possible to the children enrolled at the school.

To implement that purpose, the PTSO:

Provides family activities that build community within the school.

Provides learning opportunities through events and programs.

Provides funding for items not included in the school budget.

Provides teachers with incentives and other support materials.

Holds various fundraisers in accordance with Georgia Cyber Academy’s policies to fund the above activities.
