SPRING CONFERENCES
Spring Conferences will be held April 11 & 12. These are non-school days. Please be on the lookout for conference forms being sent home from your child's teacher. These forms will let you know if your child requires a conference or if it is optional. Sign and return the form as soon as possible. Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday for those students who are having a phone conference or if a conference is not needed. Families who have in person conferences will receive their report cards at their conference.
VOLUNTEERS FOR FIELD TRIPS
If you are wanting to attend a classroom field trip or end of year activity, please remember to make sure your background check and volunteer training is current. If you are unsure of what is needed or if your background check has cleared, contact the office at (503)824-3536. PICK UP/DROP OFF REMINDER
Please remember to use caution while driving through the school parking lots and follow the posted speed limit to help ensure the safety of our students. Friendly reminder- middle school students are still in session in the afternoons, so please drive cautiously through their school. Thank you!

2024-2025 Colton Preschool Registration
Colton Preschool Registration is ready now! Please register under the 24-25 school year using the link below if you plan on returning or have a sibling that needs to sign up (this includes part time, full time and Preschool Promise). New Volunteer Training Requirement
All parents and volunteers, in order for you to work in or around our buildings, you must clear an ODE and CSD background check and complete mandatory training. If you have only completed one of the online training modules, please email hr@colton.k12.or.us to receive the full set. This is a new requirement. If you have any questions, please call the office at (503)824-3536. Thank you for for your support of keeping Colton School District safe!

Science - Technology - Engineering - Math in the Library
4th and 5th Grade: S.T.E.M. Fair Projects
Our 4th and 5th grade students are beginning to prepare for our school STEM Fair. Project proposals were due March 21st. Once approved, students can begin their projects, research, experiments and/or investigations. Click HERE for a copy of the Project Packet that will help guide your research and investigation.
S.T.E.M. in 2nd and 3rd Grade
Our 2nd and 3rd grade students are learning about Engineering and that an engineer is a person that wants to know how and why something works.
S.T.E.M. in Kindergarten and 1st Grade
Our Kindergartners and 1st grade students have been learning block coding and programming skills. They are programming in code.org. Now that students know how to LOOP and repeat commands, they will be learning how to code EVENTS that make 2 characters interact in PLAY LAB.
