MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good Day All,
We are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15th to October 15th. This month is an opportunity for our students, staff, and community to recognize and honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic Americans. We encourage everyone to engage in learning about the diverse experiences and accomplishments that have shaped our society, as well as reflect on how we can continue to embrace and uplift the voices of all cultures within our school. Our staff members are hard at work planning a Hispanic Heritage community celebration so please be on the lookout for more details to come.
I am just continually impressed with the positive start of the school year by our students and staff. Our community is solidifying with the same belief that safe, respectful and responsible choices lead to a kind and calm community full of peace and productivity. I’d like to thank our PSO volunteers for opening the student token store this past Thursday. Our staff have been rewarding great behavior for the past two weeks and our students are anxious to spend those well-earned tokens. One student shared that he’d already earned 100 tokens this year due to being on time to class, being prepared, and following directions.
As we observe School Attendance Awareness Month this September, we want to remind families that every day in school counts. While we understand that absences due to illness or family circumstances may be unavoidable, even excused absences can affect a student’s learning and progress. Each missed day means lost instructional time and valuable opportunities to engage with lessons and classmates. Let’s work together to ensure our students attend as regularly as possible to support their academic success and personal growth.

HAPPENINGS
ASA Begins tomorrow! (After School Activities)
It is never too late to sign up for ASA. We still have lots of room in most activities. Unfortunately, volleyball is full and no longer accepting participants. Encourage your student to get involved! See details below:
ASA runs September 23 - November 21 from 3:15-4:15 p.m.
Activities are held Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
There will be buses for students that would normally ride the bus after school.
Fall Offerings: Dodgeball, Magic the Gathering and Board Games, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Chess, D&D Club and Soccer. Click here for more information.
Contact FowlerASA@ttsd.k12.or.us with any questions. (We apologize that this email was not working last weekend, it IS now up and running.)
Here is the form that needs to be completed by your student. (Note: Forms were handed out on Friday, September 13, your student may have brought one home.) Students may bring the form, along with payment, to the Main Office, either when they get to school or during their lunch if they would like to participate.
Fowler's Cross Country team will be participating in their first meet on Thursday, September 26th! Runners will be excused from class at 12:50pm to change and be bused to Memorial Park in Wilsonville. It's a long afternoon, so students should pack extra snacks and water. Families are welcome to come cheer on their runners, and the first race begins at 3:00. Students can also leave the meet with their families, but they MUST check out with one of the coaches. Students will be bused back to Fowler after the meet, and will need a ride home from the school at approximately 5:30-6.
ASA buses will begin running tomorrow. There are three buses. Students locate the right bus to ride by finding their “normal” bus route located under each route:
It is VERY HELPFUL if your student knows their address
Routes 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 14 will ride Bus 1. The first bus in line as they come out of the building.
- Routes 10, 13, 18, 20 and 22 will ride Bus 2. The second bus in line as they come out of the building.
- Routes 3, 5, 8, 10, 13, 14 and 23 will ride Bus 3. The third bus in line as they come out of the building.
Routes 3, 10, 13 and 14 are listed in two places. Please help your student determine which bus makes more sense for them to ride.
TL = Turn Left; TR = Turn Right.
These buses DO NOT stop at the normal routes. They will stop at the turn closest to student’s homes that are on their bus any particular day. Please help your student determine which turn that is. It is MOST helpful if they can tell the bus driver when they get on the bus.
Finally, students must have a pink bus pass to board the bus at the end of ASAs. They will receive this from their ASA teacher when the activity is over.

Information regarding deliveries for students:
For a variety of reasons (including safety), we do NOT accept food deliveries from DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub or other delivery services for students during the school day. This also includes floral deliveries and/or balloon deliveries for celebrations.
We DO accept deliveries from parents/guardians: homework, iPads, lunches and any other necessary items. We will communicate with the student that the item is there in order for them to know it can be picked up in the Main Office.
BUS NOTES: Students riding home with a friend need to bring a written note from their parent/guardian that includes the student name that they will be riding home with and the bus number they will be riding. The note should be brought to the Main Office PRIOR to the end of the day for a stamp. (Example: Mickey Mouse has my permission to ride bus number 56 home with Donald Duck today, 9/15/23. Parent Signature.) Parents may email permission to fowleroffice@ttsd.k12.or.us and we will get the note signed and to your student.
