Hello Davis Drive Elementary Families!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving break with their families. This break has given me time to reflect on all that I am thankful for which includes the students, staff, and families of DDE. Our community is truly special and your children continue to amaze me and make me smile daily :)

It is hard to believe that December is upon us. Below is lots of good information regarding our Holiday Cheer Program, last minute chance to order school pictures, the PTA's Penguin Patch Holiday Shop where students can buy gifts for family members, Community Partner event, and more!

DDE is going to be a part of a pilot program for reducing waste in the cafeteria, focused on sharing pre-prepackaged food with others rather than putting in the trash. I am looking for an interested parent(s) who would like to be a part of the implementation team. If you would like to find out more and how you can help, please send me an email at bfair@wcpss.net.

Hello, DDE Families! The Davis Drive ES Holiday Cheer Program is a gift-giving program.

The goal is to assist DDE families needing support during the holidays. If you want to buy gifts for one of our families, please click the link below.

All gifts are due DECEMBER 11th and must be WRAPPED (except for gift cards) and LABELED with the child's code. You can send the gifts to school starting on December 2nd!

Two of DDE's 4th grade students got so motivated by reading that their imaginations took over and they put those thoughts onto paper to author their own books! They were kind enough to share them with me and I have to say how impressed I was with their use of vocabulary. So much talent in DDE!

Parents still need to order pictures? Our NEW Code Lookup Tool is now available.

They can simply scan the QR code and follow the directions to access their child's picture ordering gallery. No need to contact Customer Service for an access code!

*Student last name and Student ID number will be required for data security.*

PTA Special Meeting

Purpose: To expand the budget to increase the book fair expenses. For Scholastic book fair we only get to keep 25% of the total earnings. This year we made 33% in cash and will need to return the extra earnings. The budget will need to increase from $1200 to $3300.
