PTO
Important Information for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Join the PTO today! PTO dues are $20. A package option is available for $50.
A raffle will be held during verification day for Beats headphones and Nike backpacks. All proceeds will help support the PTO.
The PTO will have their first meeting on August 12th at 1:00 pm in the PTO room at Veterans Memorial.
The PTO's first fundraiser of the year will start on August 20th. The World's Finest Chocolate will be the first fundraiser of the school year. Stay tuned for more information to follow regarding the fundraiser.

- Daily Bell Schedule is from 8:10 am - 3:10 pm
- Students can enter the school starting at 7:40 am
- At 8:10 am students need a parent or guardian to check them in at the attendance window
- Items can be dropped off to the office for students until 8:30 am. After 8:30 am items will not be accepted (medication being an exception) in an effort to minimize disruptions to the instructional environment.
- After 2:40 pm students can not be checked out
- Students must be picked up by 3:30 pm
- Parent conferences can be scheduled by the parent or teacher upon request. Please email the teacher to set up a parent conference.
- Online registration needs to be completed with current proofs of address prior to verification day.
- Hallway lockers are not used at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Gym lockers are used and will be purchased through the PE department.
- Policies and procedures for all middle school athletic events can be found above in an attachment. A parent or guardian is required for entrance to events.
The student handbook can be found above or on the Veterans Memorial Middle School website. The student handbook contains important information related to dress code, school rules, policies and procedures. Students will go over the student handbook during the first week of school with teachers. We highly encourage families to review the student handbook at home to gain a full understanding of our policies and procedures at Veterans Memorial Middle School.
Muscogee County School District has an easy-to-use, secure Online Registration System (OLR), which will allow completion of many of the forms required for school registration. All required documentation must be uploaded with online registration prior to verification day on August 2, 2024.

Verification Day
All families will need to attend verification day on August 2nd from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Online registration and all documents must be uploaded prior to verification day.
At verification students and parents will be able to pick up student schedules for the upcoming school year, pick up bus passes or car tags, drop off medicine for the clinic, purchase a membership to the PTO, Chromebooks will be issued, and gain information on extracurricular activities. Verification day will be from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on August 2nd.
Ranger Camp for all incoming 6th graders will be August 7th from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. Students will be able to meet their teachers and walk their schedules before the first day of school to ease the transition to middle school. There will be a presentation for all parents and guardians from 9:15 am - 9:45 am. Students will need to be picked up at 11:30 am in the front car loop.
Veterans Memorial has an official online store for VMMS gear through Thread Mob. New designs have been added including RLTW designs and blackout designs. You can purchase items 24/7 online and either have items shipped directly to your house or you can pick up items locally at Thread Mob. Use the link below to access Ranger Threads!
