Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District will conduct a public hearing on the 2025-26 School Calendar. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Administration Building, 1486 Hwy 6 NW, Oxford, Iowa. At the time and place of the public hearing, interested individuals will be given the opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed 2025-26 School Calendar. This notice is given by order of the Clear Creek Amana Board of Directors.

Thank you for filling out the Wednesday early dismissal survey. Based on the results of the survey, there will be no changes to early dismissal on Wednesdays.

The school board approved the first reading of the student cell phone policy at the November 19 school board meeting. The Policy committee will review staff and community questions at the December 4 Policy Meeting.

Clear Creek Amana High School's Student Council helps families in need throughout the school year. One of the ways in which this happens is through our Sponsor a Family event. Last year, we were able to serve 80 families district wide during the winter season.

How can you help? Our main source of help is via monetary donations. Each dollar given is used to support families in need. If you are willing to donate to help this cause, please turn in donations no later than December 13, 2024. You can donate by check or at our CCA online payment site.

Clear Creek Amana High School's Student Council is excited to help this holiday season! If you are in need of gift support over the holiday season for your child or family, we will do our best to help. With respect to all families, your wishes and names will not be shared with any donors. There are limited spots for this wonderful opportunity. Interested families can fill out the HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE REQUEST FORM.

Although there are no guarantees for assistance, we hope to be able to assist all CCA families in need but want to address that there might not be the same assistance opportunities as in previous years. We appreciate your support and hope you understand the uncertain times.

Congratulations Meara Crozier on a great concert performing with the prestigious All-State Band. The musicians rehearsed in Ames on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, and the Festival Concert was presented to the public at the Hilton Coliseum at Iowa State University on Saturday evening, November 23, 2024. Iowa PBS will re-broadcast the concert. Please check the Iowa PBS website (www.iowapbs.org) for the exact dates and times.

Our STEAM magnet program at Amana Elementary is growing! For the 2025-2026 school year, we will extend the program to include 2nd grade. As the first and only magnet school in the district, the STEAM program integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, along with Spanish language learning.

This year marks the program's inaugural year, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve recently received a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) grant. PLTW provides STEM-based curriculum that engages students with hands-on activities, preparing them to become collaborative problem solvers.

If you have a child entering Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade for the 2025 school year, and you’re looking for a small-town feel with an incredibly caring staff that treats you like family, consider applying for the Amana Magnet Program. More information will be shared soon!
