As many of you know, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please consider taking time out of your schedule to send a note or an email to your child's current or former teachers to thank them for all that they do! We are blessed with the very best here at East Fallowfield and we should let them know!

As you know, back in March our students participated in a March Madness bracket to choose the book for our One Book, One School challenge. It was a close race but ultimately the winner was 8 Class Pets, Plus One Squirrel Plus One Dog Equals Chaos. Students in grades 1-5 will receive a book that they will read in class with their teacher. Kindergarten students will participate in this building initiative in their classrooms as a read aloud instead of a one-to-one reading assignment.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 8th for our first annual Arts Night! Our students art work will be on display, we will have musicians performing, and a lot of other fun events! We hope you can join us!

Congratulations to the following students for turning in their PBIS Class Dojo points for some amazing prizes. Matteo, Connor, Bryn and Bella turned their points in to be Mrs. Frost's Office Helpers for the day. First grader Nolan turned his points in for a private lunch with his friends! The other students below turned their points in for a private recess with their friends.

Shout out to 5th grader Sophia Kerns for volunteering with the Special Olympics for the second year in a row! Sophia was one of the runners who helped carry the torch to start the games. Way to go, Sophia! We are so Big East Proud of you!

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
