ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
A FEW TIPS AND TRICKS
IT'S INDEPENDENCE DAY!
FRIDAY IS THE DAY!
What does independence day mean for families? Beginning Friday morning, families will drop off children OUTSIDE the building at their typical dropoff spot.
- There will be NO parking from 7:00-7:30am
- Families should utilize either red or green car lanes if they drive a car
- Walk or ride a bike from their home
- Children will come to school on the bus too!
We will have staff available to help children locate classrooms and celebrate!

DISMISSAL TIPS AND ADJUSTMENTS
Tips and Tricks
- Please STAY in your car. Getting out slows the process.
- Children should carry their own belongings. Water bottles and lunch boxes should fit in their backpack.
- Remember, we are learning your children...they are new to us! :).
- Traffic should improve in the next week.
- Know that we are constantly evaluating HOW to improve things AND will communicate IF we make changes.
FAST LANE NUMBERS
Fast Lane Numbers are AMAZING, but sometimes we have a few hiccups. PLEASE give it a few days for your number to work...if it doesn't work by Tuesday, email lindsey.waters@leanderisd org AND/OR niki.prindle@leanderisd.org. We ask that you refrain from coming to campus for this because sometimes the fix isn't immediate! Our goal is to print red/green cards for each family to pick up at curriclum nights scheduled the week of August 26th.
SAMPLE CAR RIDER SIGNS
To help with speed of the car lane, we need your help!
Please pick up a piece of red or green cardstock at Open House in the cafeteria.
On the cardstock, please write the following in BIG BOLD LETTERS!
- FAST LANE Number
- Student's name
- Grade
- Teacher name.
It's My Child's Birthday: Treats and Celebrations!
It's My Birthday!
Birthdays are the best! Our goal at Hisle is to celebrate each child on their special day in the classroom. Each classroom will celebrate with one of the following: a homemade card, reading a fun book as a class, or singing happy birthday! Families may opt to send individually bagged treats to send home. This allows the family the autonomy to decide if they wish for their child to have the treat at home. Once again, our goal at Hisle is that each child knows the world became a better place the day they were born!
